This will be our 2nd cruise as a family, but first Disney Cruise!

Hi Gang,

Wanted everyone to know that the Fish Extender signups will be closing as of Sunday 12/14/14 on DIS. If anyone would like to signup on/before that date please send me a private message here on DIS and I will make sure you get added. After that date, we will no longer be accepting signups on DIS to give everyone time to get their gifts in order for the FE Exchange and survive the holidays too :)

Any questions please send me a Private Message on DIS.

**DIS FE Exchange signups ending 12/14/14**

Hi all! I just returned form WDW late last night and just saw that I missed the deadline to signup for the FE. Is there any way I can be added? It is myself, DH & DS (4 yo). We booked last minute on the same cruise last year and was able to participate. Will be super bummed if we can't! Please let me know.
Thanks

Hi Cheryl! Please check your private messages :)

I just found out about this fun activity!! And I see it's closed!

We took our first Disney cruise in 2005 for our honeymoon. So, what better way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary??!!!! Our 8 year old daughter is so excited also!

Hope to meet some of you!

Have fun everyone!!!

Hi guys! We are joining this cruise as well! Just came on to sign up for FE and I see its closed. Is this correct? Is there anyone that's interested in forming a late sign up FE group? I'm kinda sad because this will be my first cruise without doing FE and I love to participate! Thanks!

Hi MaCat528 and Kmab00. Welcome Aboard! Yes, unfortunately the FE exchange main signup is closed at this point, but if anyone would like to start another for late joiners, please go ahead.

I sent you both a Private Message :)

Thanks!

We are new to cruising, and now that the holidays are over we can finally focus on our excitement :cheer2: We just discovered this forum and just learned about the FE. It seems that it is closed but count us in if there is one for "latecomers".

Disboard name: Phiandrei
We are 5 traveling: myself (Jo) & dh (Eric) with our kids: Sophia (10), Andrei (6) and Sasha (3) from PA. Room 10110. No allergies. During each of our kids 3rd year, we'd take the family to Disney World, this time we decided to change it up and go on the cruise. Looking forward to a magical time! :wizard:

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, etc.).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since it seems that one has come forward to organize a late-comers FE for this cruise here on the DIS , please feel free to organize a FE right in this thread.

DISboards Fish-Extender Basics

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Hi All -

We will be taking our 1st Cruise on the Dream Feb 23rd. We have 2 boys who are 6 & 8. Any suggestions/recommendations? What are things to skip or must do's? This is a funny question but what do we do with our ID's valuables when we are swimming at Castaway & Bahamas?

Is it better to take a cab to Atlantis in the Bahamas? What is there to do? My one son is not a big water person right now. Ideas?

Can't wait to hear all the feedback :) Thank you!

Amy

Welcome to Disney cruising.:sail:
I think your whole family will have fun on the cruise. Make sure you get the kids registered for the kid's clubs. Even if they don't spend a lot of time in them, they will still want to check them out and play for a while. I am cruising without kids and I want to check them out.

Castaway is fun even if you don't swim. My boys loved to play on the beach. Bring some sand toys or buy some at the shop. Even if you don't like water it is still fun to rent a float and bob up and down on the waves. Try and put the kids in the clubs for a couple of hours to check out the adult beach and get a Conch Cooler(or whatever you like) at the bar. There are bicycle trails and places to walk if you want to check out more of the island. I never bring much with me to the beach. Anything really valuable, I leave in the room. I bury my key card down in the bottom of my bag and have never had anything taken. If you are worried about security I know you can buy locking tethers that will connect to beach chairs.

Sorry, I have never been to Atlantis but I believe they have an aquarium if you don't want to do two beach days. I usually just walk around and check out the shops in Nassau for a couple of hours and spend the rest of the day on the ship.
