February 22 - More DVC Madness?

So, Sunday marks the non-owner time to call in and reserve for BLT and THV. Do you all think it's going to be the same situation we experienced a couple weeks ago?

Also, what's everyone looking to get on the 22nd? I've got 100 developer points at SSR that I'm hoping to turn into some nights at THV in June.

Well I'm looking NOT to book anythingat BLT. Although the location is wonderful and the photos I have seen the units are beautiful - the points needed to stay are IMHO High.


My hope is that THV and BLT are so popular that BWV is always avaialble at the 7 month window.


I hope (TRULY) that all that try to obtain a ressie for BLT have on their side and their dreams come true

Remember that most of us got our first choice on 2/8. So that may mean that each person know spends longer trying for choices 2-10!

This is a stupid question but I will ask anyway. For a BLT ressie in Feb of 2010 I still have to wait till March of 2009 to call for it, right? The 11 month rule?

If you are booking with BLT points, you can book 11 months from check in so you would call in March '09. If you are booking with non-home resort points (anything other than BLT points) you can book 7 months prior to check in so you would call in July '09.

I would expect that 2-3 times as many members will be trying to get reservations so yes I think it will be much worse and likely will last 2 or more days. Hoping that someone has to try THV and gives up a 2br BCV for my wait list dates.

Yes, the 7 month booking rule still applies.

I agree with Debbie B. The 7 month window should limit the number of callers. We are looking at only a 7 - 8 week period of people wanting to get into these 2 resorts.

I think the case 2 weeks ago with owners you have the holiday period rush to get into these properties which non owners can't reserve.

Just my 2 cents.

Wishing you luck. But you do know that you won't be able to call for that reservation until March 10th if you don't own at BLT.

The 7 month booking window still applies...tomorrow's reservations will only go up through check-in dates of September 22nd.

I'd love to try out BLT but we own at SSR. We want 3 nights 23, 24 and 25th September so will have to wait till Monday to ring. Fingers crossed

Oh yeah I forgot all about that thanks. Thats probably a good thing, now we won't have to join the masses calling tomorrow. DH and I want to buy into BLT so bad but are waiting for our taxes back first so we can put a down payment on it. I wish the government would hurry up!
