February 21, 2014 - 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise on Disney Wonder - Itinerary B

My wife and I are going to be going on this cruise and it will be not only our first DCL cruise, but our first cruise in general!

Anyone want to help clue me in as to what extra mojo the DIS people bring to the sailing?

You will love cruising! It is so relaxing!

As for DIS mojo - lots of tips and tricks on the ins and outs of DIS cruise lines to get the most out of it! Some highlights below:

- Cruise meets - most threads do a meet first day on board so everyone can meet face to face after weeks and months of online chatting. It's great to meet new folks, and we even planned an excursion with another family from the DIS at one place. We both had kids the same age, and wanted to avoid the nude beach, so it worked out great! The kids both had a friend to play with all day, and didn't have to hang out only with boring adults!

- FE - fish extender exchanges - read some of the threads about those on the cruise forums. Basically they are little stocking stuffer type items that you exchange with the group. DS really loved checking our extender for something new daily!

We are also going on this cruise (Bill, Maureen (DW), and Kay (DD-12). This will be the second part of back to back and should be our 10th Disney cruise. Looking forward to this one since we will have a stop in Grand Cayman. I will be sending in a request for the FB page.

We will be on this cruise-me (Amy), DH (Josh) and DD5 (Chloe). This will be our first cruise with Disney. We go to WDW all the time so we are really excited. However we have only sailed Norwegian with "freestyle" cruising so I am a Lillie nervous about the more structured dining, etc. we want to eat in the main dining areas so I guess we will adapt.
We will be staying in Miami for a few days after. DH'a sister lives there so we have to get our annual visit in LOL. We really like the Seaquarium and Miami zoo if you're looking for fun things to do.

I just booked this cruise! It will be our second cruise. First one was Nov 2012, Mexican Riviera on the Wonder. I do wish we were going on a different ship this time, just for the new to us factor, but can't complain because we loved The Wonder. It will be myself, my husband, Jorge and our two boys, Nicolas age 5 and Mateo age 10. We love all things Disney. We just did Disneyland in June again. I would love to do the FE group again, but not sure it will be possible. Flying from CA so our suitcase space is limited. I will be waiting to see how big the group gets to make a decision. Can't wait for this cruise!

Hi! This will be my second Disney Cruise. Last time was a bit of a family reunion with my mom's siblings and their families.
This second Disney cruise came about because my parents, sister and I needed to find something to look forward to. We were just jazzed that it was going to be another Disney Cruise. I find myself getting more excited with each passing day. I even have a Disney Vacation Countdown app on my phone (164 days!)!
Anyway, my friends think I'm a little crazy that I'm 28 and voluntarily going on a Disney Cruise without kids, but Disney is just that awesome. Last time we went, I was stunned how much there was to do for adults! They really do think of everything.

Well, not exactly planning excursions as much as checking out what is out there. Have to decide if we want to "see" things or "do" things.

We are planning a dolphin/sea turtle excursion in Grand Cayman, at least that's what my husband suggested. I don't think we will get off the boat in Cozumel.

Hi! Just booked this cruise last week. It'll be myself & my 11 y/o daughter, our 4th cruise, 1st on Wonder. Have done Magic 2x & Fantasy once. And my friend will be on this cruise as well with her 9 y/o daughter. Their 2nd cruise. Leaving the men at home this time . Girl trip! We're so excited! Asked to join the FB page. Thanks!

Just booked this cruise 2 days ago and so excited! I'll be sailing with my DH and two kids, son, 12 and daughter will turn 8 the day we sail! We're coming down from Massachusetts 2 or 3 days early hoping to avoid any snowstorms.
