I think I've finally decided on Feb 23rd - March 2nd...thoughts?

Has anyone gone around this time? Pros and cons?

We've been to WDW in late February and around President's Day weekend, while crowds aren't light, they've not been that terrible compared to summer crowds. I much prefer going in February over a summer visit for us. Usually the weather is nicer (not always) though. I think it's a great time to be in the world!!

Before DS was in real school, we went around that week several years in a row 2013-2016. Really loved that time as there’s just a ‘touch’ of a breather between the Presdent’s Day / Princess Half Marathon period and when spring break starts to kick in. Obviously things can feel different every year with changes in the US economy, global economy, new school calendars, etc - but it worked well for us.

Also you’re generally in a warming trend by that point, weather wise.

One thing to watch in 2019 - Mardi Gras is much later than it has been the last few years. It’s Tuesday, 3/5/19. The whole state of LA is off and it’s historically a larger crowd week, relatively speaking. Sounds like this will be just after your trip.

I don’t think Princess Half dates are out yet, but it’ll probably be 2/22-2/24ish. I wouldn’t plan around this, just something to watch out for that Sunday AM (traffic/congestion primarily around MK and Epcot).

We are going the 24th through the 3rd of Next February also. We went this year the first week of February and it was great! The weather was cool in the mornings and nice and warm in the afternoons. It only rained on us one afternoon. That was our first in February so that's why we are doing it again. The first weekend we will be there is a Marathon weekend so it will probably be busy but the rest of the week is supposed to be low crowds!

I'll be there, but at the beginning of the month (2/2 - 2/9). I have been there in February back in 2005 and 2009 and enjoyed both times a lot. Mild weather, and a nice break from Buffalo winter for a bit. Fingers crossed for a good trip for you.

We loved our Feb trip last time and I am honestly thinking about pushing our trip up to that week to avoid the Mardi Gras crowd- BUT I'm not sure.
The only think we were bummed about was some of the rides that were down for refurbishment (I think we missed two or three total)

Most schools in the northeast are closed presidents week, airfare is sky high.
