February 2017 timing

Hi

I'm not sure where to ask this question....

We are planning a trip next year and we had hoped to go Feb 4-11 (1st park day on Superbowl Sunday). This is usually a slow time and should be value season from what I can tell. But I'm hearing about cheerleading competitions that are held this time of year.....its before president's day and after mlk day. Is this a good time to go??

I'm at WDW right now, and will be here for another week.

No.
Seems like there are few "slow" times at WDW anymore.

But, if you know what you're doing, it's at least manageable.

We went 2013 the 1st week, did MK on Super Bowl Sunday. It wasn't too bad at night, we stayed till about 10 and the kids got to ride tomorrowland rides almost on,off then right back on. It was busy, but not too bad. Just figure on layers, since the weather is a little iffy

It varies. Fat Tuesday has a big impact. This year Super Bowl Sunday (2/7), Fat Tuesday (2/9 -read Mardi Gras break for all of Louisiana), and President's Day (2/15 - major crowds) all fall within 9 days of one another. Expect mobs, according to TP. Next year Fat Tuesday is later, not until 2/28 and President's Day will be on Feb 20. The crowds will be later in the month and early Feb should be an improvement over this year.
