We are planning on going to WDW in February 2016, we have been before but never at that time of year. Can anyone give me some idea of how busy the parks will be and what sort of temperatures to expect. I know it has been very cold recently but is this usual for February? Thanks for the help.

HERE are the average (and last year's) temperatures for the Orlando area.

HERE are the relative humidity averages for the Orlando area.

HERE is the Orlando monthly average rainfall.

The crowds will depend on when in Feb. I often go during Pres Week (and will in 2016 too). That week is comparable to Easter week .... Perhaps just a bit less crowded. The rest of the month is much lower crowds, though it's never really empty anymore.
Weather is a total crap shoot. We have been there with gloves on and we've been there in shorts. It's been in the 30s and the 80s .... Chances are it'll be somewhere in between, but you can't count on that at all!! Be prepared for winter and that way you'll be thrilled if it turns out to be in the 70s.

Mardi Gras week will also be busy that month, but still less crowded than Presidents Day week.

We just went this past February. We stayed from the 1st to the 14th. We found the crowds just fine. There were a few days when MK got pretty crowded (higher than the crowd prediction sites) but overall not bad at all. We seldom waited longer than 20 minutes or so - and that was rare. One Monday was extremely crowded - which we didn't expect. But on that day, Epcot was very light so we hopped over and hung out there. (The Disney app is amazing if for that reason alone). Weather was perfect. Cool in the morning and at night (well .. cool for me, but I'm from Texas. Probably not so much for northern folks). During the day was T-shirt weather. It only rained twice - one day it was over by 11:00AM, and the other didn't start until around 1:pm and rained lightly the whole day. There were maybe 2 nights where it got pretty darn cold. (But again - I'm used to 100 degrees for months at a time). Not nearly cold enough to slow us down, though. Hope that helps you. FYI - I'd go back in a heartbeat during that time. No complaints at all.

Feb can be on the warm side or on the cold side. A cold front that makes it exceptionally chilly or cold is perfectly normal in February. There is no way to plan around that to avoid it. Hopefully some warm days will be here for your visit.

We just went from feb 1st-7th and found the weather perfect but I have heard it can vary. We wore shorts and t shirts every day but had to start and end the day with a sweatshirt. This for us is perfect! It say the temps were mainly high 60's or low 70's. Our first day was actually quite hot and humid.
As for crowds they weren't bad at the other parks but we did find MK crowded. I think we were just anticipating really low crowds since it was one of the lowest crowd weeks of the year. But of course Disney low crowd is still crowded. Once we wrapped our head around that it was very manageable.
I would definitely return again in February we had an amazing time!!

Have fun!!

Also planning a Feb 2016 trip... Like others have posted, pack both shorts and tees to jackets and scarfs. Crowd levels heavy during Pres Day weekend so avoid this time if possible. Mardi Gras, assuming it does not coincide with Presidents Day timeframe, has smaller effects on crowd levels. Early Mardi Gras in 2016 with Fat Tues on Feb 9th.. Good Luck !!

Avoid Presidents Day weekend, Mardi Gras, and there is a marathon weekend to avoid also
