I looked up today what I paid last year for the exact same week and it was $125 for a mid size car. I remember booking really close to the date too but these prices don't seem to be coming down much. Now the decision of keeping the car I have reserved for $250 or just using disney transportation this time around. Decisions decisions
Dollar just dropped their minivan prices. Feb 22-March 4. $300.99 no coupons or codes just City Special. I wasn't planning on a minivan but it is cheaper than a full size so we took it. Previously had an intermediate for $412. I'll keep looking.
Have you found out about the ID code? I just used it to price my rental and the price was really good. I would like to book with it but don't want to get caught with a code that I can't use.
No sorry I haven't. I found a better rate for my last leg but I am still using the Puerto Rico Direct for the first two. I did online check in and Bypass Counter, so I am hoping it won't be an issue. I guess we will see Feb 27!
Just booked a minivan through budget on Costco travel for $222 for 2/17-2/24! I've been checking daily for the past 6 weeks and this is the lowest I have seen the rates!
I had an awesome Hertz reservation for a subcompact for $57 (taxes and fees included!) for 6 days I booked months ago. We had a change of plans and are arriving a day earlier. Called Hertz to modify the rental and price changed to $500+!!
Booked a minivan from Budget yesterday $180 2/18-2/24 (7 days) using Costco and $40 coupon. Strange that minivans are the cheapest vehicles to rent! Normally I would be THRILLED to get a great deal like this on a minivan, as we usually bring our two kids and stay offsite. It is just my husband and myself (staying onsite) and we don't need a minivan, but I'll take it. Prices on minivans at Dollar, Thrifty and Hertz were also in the low $200's also. I prefer National and Alamo, but the rates have not come down at all.
I've been watching prices on priceline for our MCO pickup and TPA return 2/25-3/2 and Avis had a $24/day rate yesterday for a midsize and it dropped today to $21/day. Our total is $156! The cheapest we had found was $200 from Alamo with the Vroom Vroom rate. Priceline has rejected all of my NYOP bids.
