February 2014

Regarding FF+ strategy: I have booked FF+ for our 3rd week of November trip. I'll try to remember to post back on here how those plans worked for us. We're taking our grandson in just over 2 weeks and knowing him (and my DH) I can't count on making many rope drops. So I have booked about 1 FF+ in the morning and then 2 in the afternoon for most of our park days. I'm also hoping that we might manage to "double dip" for a few more FF in November but don't expect that to be possible at all in Feb. But I also hope that by Feb., if they have done away with the legacy FF machines, that Disney resort guests will get more than 3 FF+ p/p per day. 'Soarin is my favorite attraction in all of WDW and before FF+ we were able to ride it as many as 3 times in a day by getting there for stand-by at park opening plus getting a FF to return and then a second FF for the evening when we went for our return. That's the only ride we used FF on for EPCOT. With our grandson it will be different since he wants to do Test Track and Mission Space (We're doing green version and hoping we survive!) 'Soarin is our other FF+ selection.

:welcome: WOO HOO! A few more to add to our February party! party:

Wilderness Lodge 2/20 - 2/24 and running enchanted 10k Saturday morning!

I think it is great that you have the energy to do a 10K and then enjoy Disney. :worship:

My niece is only 10 but is one of the biggest Clemson fans ever!

Changed reservations to POR and now deciding if I should upgrade to the Royal Rooms. We will be there the 1st-8th. Was excited to snag the S/P/D deal AND cheap airfare!

Wow! To snag S/p/D deal and Cheap airfare! Cool! :cool1: I have been watching the airfare but right now it would add almost 1,000 to our trip so it looks like we might be driving.

We're heading down to GFV on 2/9-2/15 with our twin 17 mo old daughters!

:wave2: :beach:Staying at GFV on the monorail route will be great with two little ones! Will this be the girls' first trip?

I just caught your username! Were the twins your souvenirs from a Disney trip?

Dont know the exact days off the top of my heads but come on Feb 4th, The 5th is my 22nd Birthday

Have any other February visitors noticed that park hours may have changed again??? Looks like AK might be shorter. I was so looking forward to AK at night!

I saw the same hours on WDW, but here is another set of hours - aren't these from "official Disney"?

Darn it! Was hoping to sleep in on our animal kingdom day and enjoy the lighter evening crowds...hmmmm...I just wish Disney would make up their minds on these hours...they better not change the 10pm Studios close...we NEED that one.

Thanks for posting those...I forget, where do you find that hour chart?

Josh had it linked on his site when the hours were extended a bit ago.
The Disney site still has the AK longer hours. Here's that link.

Do you know if the first link I posted is an official Disney site?

I admit, I haven't read thru this whole thread to find this answer.....

Heading to WDW Feb 27 for only 4 nights for a quick trip. We've never been in Feb/March......Please tell me it'll be warm enough to swim.

I'm hoping mid to high 70's at least. Yes??:)

Feb 21-24 for me! Running the Enchanted 10k on the 22nd! Staying at OKW! First stay at a Deluxe!! :yay: 110 days!!!!!

We are going back for a short trip from 2/25 to 3/1, staying at the WL again.

We are surprising my son with this trip when we pick him up at school to go to the airport. His birthday is 2/26 and he will be turning 8. He thinks we won't be going back until 2015. I can't wait to see his excitement!

This will be our 2nd time in February, but we've been at the end of January and the beginning of March in recent years, too. The weather varies. We've been able to swim all times but we've also had temps of up to 85 and as low as 45.

Can you add us to the list? :) POFQ Feb. 8th-15th, then trying a LM room at AOA through the 18th. Myself, DH, DS11 and DS8. Eighth trip for the boys, 11th for DH, and twenty-something for myself!:cheer2:

There's a new discount out for "families with small kids". It was the exact same cost as the SPD code I already used but it might work better for one of you.
