I was so excited to get Mickey mail today and even more excited to see that it was a RO PIN!!! ...for the same dates as the current GP promotion

Guess I'll just wait for the winter GP offer in a month...

Maybe she was late in getting her PIN. What is the point in getting a PIN if it is the same as the GP offer?:confused3

The excitement of getting a pin is being able to book earlier then everyone else.

Its about being able to book 3 months before the General public does...thats about it! ;)

Yeah... I was super bummed (and confused) when I got it. *sigh*

I totally get the excitement & reason of getting a PIN code. I was kinda defending you because you said no new pin codes and someone else pointed out the fact that another poster said they received a pin. Well, the pin is only special if it offers something that the general public can't book yet. Sorry if that was confusing. :)

We have decided we will go to Disney Feb. 8-15 2014 even if we do not get any discounts :cool1: My question is this.....we are Disney visa card holders and are hoping to be notified if s/p/d is released for these dates prior to any one else. That being said, should we still book NOW and then call to edit the reservation to reflect the discount or just wait and book at the end of September either with or without the discount....I don't want to miss my opportunity!! Thanks for any help/advice!!

Disney Visa offer will be out at the end of September. And yes, it comes out as a disney Visa offer before it goes to a general public offer.

Does visa email you? How do we get notified about the offer?

Travel agent sites and the DIS Boards will have any early-release Visa offer details first. Chase may or may not send you an email with the offer, but they will have the offer details on the Chase Disney Rewards Visa web site - maybe not immediately, but usually within the day of release.

Anyone looking to book the Fantasmic Dinner Package at H.S. there are a lot of times available for February.
I booked Feb 1st @ 3:35 yesterday.
Can't wait.

Does anyone know if I'm a Disney Visa cardholder if I can get the S/P/D applied through my TA? I am hoping I can since it will be my card that pays Disney directly. I really didn't want to use a travel agent but I did because my mom likes to and they are going on our trip, so I wanted everyone to be on the same reservation, linked, blah blah blah :) It'd be so much easier if I could just do this on my own instead of having a middle woman!

I want to jump on this if and when it's offered so that we can upgrade from QS to the the regular dining plan since the difference in the kid's rate for QS vs. DP is so nominal.

I've gotten Disney Visa holder discounts the day they came out several times using a TA. I've done it 2 different ways.
(1) Have a reservation already booked with the deposit paid using the DV. The TA just calls to get the discount applied. No additional deposit is required since the original deposit was placed using the DV.
(2) Instruct the TA to book a new reservation using your DV as soon as the discount becomes available. I arranged it arrange it ahead of time with my TA.

You can also have a reservation already booked using a different card but you'll have to put additional money down on your reservation using your DV in order to use the DV discount.

Awesome thanks!! I'll just put additional down, so I won't have to mess with changing the reservation.

I can't do this myself can I? I've got to use the TA.

If you have an existing reservation with a TA then your options are to let your TA take care of it or book a new reservation yourself and cancel the reservation held by the TA. One of the reasons I like to use a TA is so that I don't have to worry about getting on the phone and wait on hold for hours first thing in the morning when deals are released.

If you don't have an existing reservation then you're free to do it yourself without having to involve a TA in any way.

so i have a reservation booked with a TA on my visa and I am waiting for a deal. I would also like to book for my son and put the deposit on my card so he can get the deal as soon as it comes out. will he then be able to pay the balance on another card or does the whole thing need to be paid with the visa. cause you know if I pay that I am never going to get my money back.

In the past I have only had to put the deposit on the Dis Visa, then was able pay the balance with another form of payment.

hi!

i've read the last 10 pages or so and didn't see it mentioned. has the princess weekend historically been blacked out of discounts that are offered? even if it's only room only, we would be looking at huge savings that can then be spent on more drinks at epcot.:rotfl:

I've gone to WDW for the past few princess marathon weekends (arriving the weekend before) and I've had a discount every year. That weekend was included in the PINs that went around for February as well. I have every confidence that I'll get a discount again this year though unfortunately most likely not as good of a discount as I've gotten in years past.

I hope the stay/play/dine comes out. I wish it were FD, but I will be happy with at least some discount. I wanted to make sure I understood the offer correctly. Would the following be correct?

Rack Rate for room - Standard room at Pop Century for 7 nights - $1209.36
8 day ticket at child price (4 people) - $1278
7 nights of QS at child price (4 people @ $15.75) - $441
Total of $2928.36

If I were to upgrade to TS instead of QS, then the following would be correct?
Rack Rate for room - Standard room at Pop Century for 7 nights - $1209.36
8 day ticket at child price (4 people) - $1278
7 nights of TS at child price (3 people @ $34.74(TS adult price - QS adult price + QS kid price); 1 @ $18.88) - $862.33
Total of $3349.69

Add me in for the wait for a Feb discount!

DH and I have decided to go Feb 6-13, booked our dining ressies now just waiting to book our room. Last year we had a PIN emailed to us on 10/10 with free dining for the Feb-Mar time period, but I'll be happy with the S/P/D if that's what we'll be able to get this year.

This will be our first February trip. We've always gone in March because I didn't want it to be too cold. Well last March we went and it was really cold (especially for a 4 month old baby!) so even if it's cold- we survived once so we can do it again!

thanks! i feel like i had seen people mention using discounts on previous years but couldn't fully remember. i know it's starting to get so big that rundisney isn't really offering any/much of a discount like the used to from what i understand so i hope that means that they won't decide to black it out. we have AAA so it wouldn't be the end of the world but man, would a 35% off be good!:)

Hmm ok explain "cold". Is it Massachusetts snow storm cold or I live in a place where it doesn't snow so if I have to wear more than a light jacket I'm freezing?
Not trying to be picky, but we have been thinking about a February escape and looking at the weather charts they are talking 70s in Florida with 50s at night. That would be warm for me in February. So I know cold is a subjective opinion depending on where you are from and what you are used to.

Thanks for explaining.
