Would they ever release a discounted dining and then offer free dining later on?

I have also been calling to inquire about a pin with no luck. Has anyone heard of someone having one just on file for this last release with 2014 dates? I cant recall reading about anyone who has called and had one.

The release of these pin codes for next year has been atypical in many ways. Makes me think that the powers that be are testing something out.

Probably not with general public offers. There are charts where people have kept track of the various discounts, though, and when they were released. It shouldn't be too hard to find, but I am too lazy to do it right now. Pin code offers and public discounts can be different, however.

I have gotten a general discount the last 3yrs in a row for this time frame. I would just love to get a pin so i didnt have to wait for the general public discounts. In 2009 i got stay 4 get 3 free offer. Then two free dines and this years stay play dine. Which made dining cost me approx $400. I will take that spd again no prob. I havent called yet. I heard these codes expire the 31st. So i m callin the 31st. I doubt i have anythin. I cant even get them to send me the planning dvd lol. Right now i just have a 10nite WL 4adult package booked for $9000. Lmao! So yeah... desperatly gonna gonna be stalking the boards for info come september-october ish lol.
I have never heard of pins coming out this early...but i agree. Its gotta be whats to come. I bet it wont be free dine. But i bet since that spd was new last year they throw that again. Esp if thats some codes. They also had a room only disc too for same time frame. But with four of us at adult rates. The dining is the killer.
From memory i consistently remember these offers goin visa then public from sept- to late oct. Ughhh!!!
I hate this waiting game.

I was all set to hold off until 2/14 when lo and behold, a PIN arrived in my inbox! First time ever! Figured it would be for later this year perhaps but NO, it was for early next year - exactly when we would want to go (I think it was Jan-early March). Ours was a SPD type PIN (adult tix and dining at kids' prices to be exact). Sooo, it looks like we will indeed be back 2/1-2/9/13.

Our dates for our most recent visit were 2/1-2/8/2013 and would LOVE to receive a PIN for the same time frame in 2014! Congrats to you!!

Stalking that time frame as well! Congrats! I just called to make a payment and had them check first for a PIN but nothing. We had just added an account for my husband and I was hoping. The CM checked both accounts without me asking but no luck.

He also told me to keep watching the website. Hee - as if I'm not doing that daily already.

No. They wouldn't
They know that All those that booked the one promo would cancel and rebook under free dining.

No not really.
Disney releases the promo 1st via pin...they it moves to Disney Visa then it turns to a general public offer. Some dates may change between the offers that's about it.

ok i have a question! last year i booked our trip (for feb 2013) in september. a few weeks later the s/p/d deal came out and i called up and got the deal, and upgraded us to deluxe dining. i remember the chaos on the board when people found out about the deal and they knew when it would become available and everyone was wanting to call first thing in the morning the day it opened to apply it to their package. i read a lot about the offer being "limited" and everyone was so worried about not being able to apply to s/p/d discounts. i also remember reading the boards for days afterwards and seeing that everyone got the deal and it no longer seemed like it was limited or hard for anyone to get. my question is, for this year, would it make sense to do the same thing, book my vacation a few weeks before the offer opens up to the public and then call at 6 am to add the deal, or do you think i can wait for the deal to open to the public and then book it? i just remember waiting on hold FOREVER the morning it became available and i had huge anxiety about not being able to get the deal! is it really THAT limited??

Last year i called right at 7am and got right thru no problems when spd came out. Everything went smoothly.
I book first so i can get my dining. If i dont get two ohana adrs dh gets cranky
The other nice thing with it being booked was all the info was there. She just applied the discount.

My question is:
I already booked our stay (3 adults) at the AS Music, with 8 days park hopper tickets, and I am following the February 2014 code watch and I’m wondering if the SPD offer comes along in October will I be able to switch my package with no problem even do at this time I didn’t buy the QS dining plan? Will I need to add it to my package first and then call to have the SPD offer applied or just call and they will add it and give the discount…I’m a little bit confused…Please help!!!

You can call and have them modify.
You will pay $14 something per person for the quick service dining plan.
They will also adjust your park tickets so you will be paying the children's price for all the adult tickets as well.

Quick question....can I stay value and get DDP or do you have to buy QSDP if staying value? I know on the free dining you have to pay to upgrade. Is it the same with SPD, or would we just pay the higher child's price instead for the DDP?

For P/S/D you can upgrade from the QS to DDP
You would pay the difference between the actual prices of Adult plans
$55.59-$37.58 = $22.41 upgrade cost
plus $14.32 QS Childrens meal plan cost
= $35.74 approx for the DDP
