Carrie: I can't wait to get my Fit, just need to order it. hehe

Michelle: Padding you totals are you?? That's great!

Sarah: :welcome: to the Warriors!! I sent you an invitation so you can use the spreadsheet if you want.

AFM: I am off today!! So out I went for my 4 miles, until I realized my Garmi only had 14% charge left. So on the charger it went. I did some stuff......
call and make mammogram appt (I know TMI!)-check, call and make annual physical appt.-check, call and make WDW reservation for my birthday!-check. So then I went out for my 4miles. Felt pretty good. I am back on my Weight watchers plan. I lost about 15 pounds starting around end of summer and then just held there for the holidays. Now ready to loose some more. Lost 1.5 pounds last week, so so far its going well.

OK everyone, who's got races in Feb/March/April? Anyone signed up for any charity walks that your raising money for? Anyone volunteering for any events??

I hope to sign up for something after Princess Half. I have two charity events the March of Dimes walk in April and the Breast Cancer Network Walk on Mother's Day in May.

Have a great Tuesday Warriors!!

Tracy do you have me down for the boston marathon? 20th april. :lmao:

Hey warriors,

I've been busy, just not posting. I have been recording all of my stuff on the spreadsheet.

I walked almost 8 miles total this weekend between the beach and the fair and did a craptastic 6 miler on the TM yesterday. I have a 10 K race this weekend. I don't remember if I posted about that or not. I did post my next few races over on the Warrior introduce yourself thread.

I had a job interview today that seems promising, so keep your fingers crossed!!

:wizard: to Lily's DH!!

Amy

Happy Monday Warrior Buddies!!!!

Been off of the radar screen for a couple of days. The real world caught up this weekend.

Today I started off with a nice 22 mile bike ride that finished with a 3 mile walk because of a blown tire not anywhere close to my house :-(.

This afternoon I managed a 3 mile run for a total of 28 miles today.

Going into taper mode due to a 1/2 M I'm doing Sunday.

Helloooo, mighty Warriors! Thought I'd say "hi."

Ken: Great job on the weight loss. You're an inspiration to all of us trying to get back to "fighting weight."

Carrie: For where you live, 40s IS a heat wave! I bet you were out in shorts. :rotfl2: It sounds like you're having a great job with the Wii Fit. I take it opens up more moves as you get advanced.

Kate: I must have missed it. A 12 week marathon plan! :scared1: Stay safe and sane! Great job with your mileage. (Are you really doing Boston? Or it's a goal race?)

Kat: I'm glad I got a chance to come over here and thank you for your awesome work on userbars. I loved the "Random Acts of Kindness" story--that must have made you feel special. And what encouragement for all your efforts, too.

Michelle: You have to take advantage of the good weather while you have it, right? That's a good clip for an impromptu walk, too! :thumbsup2

Tracy: Great job getting back on the WW and losing the 1.5 pounds. Thanks for signing up for the charity walks--especially for the Breast Cancer one. (Near and dear to my heart.)

Marcia: Great to see you on the boards. You're NOT doing Dopey this year?

Amy: Good luck on your upcoming 10K. And big good luck wishes on your job interview!

Jim: Apparently the bike gods determined you needed to add some more mileage to the team. Don't you hate blowing a tire away from the house/bike store/etc. Good luck on your 1/2!

Hello to any Warriors I've missed! Good luck training and keep up the good work! :woohoo:

Quick question...is anyone doing anything for core work? My lower back, hamstrings, glutes have been a little sore, so I've been working on my core a little bit.....any suggestions on some exercises would be grateful!

Marcia What kind of core work are you doing now? There are ton of different things you can do. Crunches, leg raises, twists, planks, supermans, low back extensions, etc. Main thing, and I am sure you already know this, but make sure you stretch often. That will help a lot.

Ken 9 pounds in a week!! That's fantastic!!

Kate You are more than welcomed to run with me anytime. Just don't make me cry when you blow by me and leave me in the dust. Keep up with the incredible efforts!

Hope everyone else is doing well and having an incredible week!!

Bryan

Hello team!

I was at it again today! A nice day deserved yet another one miler on my break! (Yes, Tracy...padding my numbers!:thumbsup2 ) And I think it's helping with post LR soreness too. Did my 10 miles on Sunday and haven't been a bit sore! I went out tonight (just beating the rain) and did 5 miles in my fastest time yet! 1:01:45! I thought I was actually going to break that one hour mark, but missed it by that much!:sad2: Oh well...I still PR'd for 5 miles!

BTW - Where's Jeff???:confused3

Thanks for all the welcomes, Warriors! I'm so happy to be here!

And thanks for adding me to the spreadsheet, Tracy. Wow, y'all have been busy this month. :yay:

I did my standard slow 5k on the treadmill today because it has been sleeting all day. I've gone to a 3 slow days/2 fast (normally intervals) days training schedule after the half marathon last month. Last year I was running all my runs at about the same speed (which was about a minute per mile slower than my race pace), so we'll see if the new schedule makes any difference.

Anyway, thanks for the welcomes and way to go :thumbsup2 everyone!

Just wanted to say that even though I did my 4 miles yesterday I added about 15min of WII palying tennis!! hehe

Tracy

Hey kids-

Four miles yesterday. You know how sometimes you start out too fast and then are miserable the rest of the run? Yeah, did that. ;) Did at least manage to finish and hopefully will remember that lesson!

Jen in GA

jen - SOrry abotu the last part of your run. DOes it help that I felt miserable for all of my run? ;)

Amy - WTG on teh miels!! :wizard: :wizard: for teh job!

Marcia - Pilates is great fro core. AmyBWV recommended pilaties fro dummies. I love my yoga for teh hammy; sand glutes. downward facing dog and pigeon are great. If you can find a yoga-laties program, I think that would do wonders fro yu. Hope your teacher is a little less instense than mine, though. ;) Oh, I think the wii fit balance games adn yoga help my core too.

Tracy - Isn't it amazing how the wii gets you moving when normally you would pat yourself on teh back ro alrady working out and call it quits?

Sarah - Having the fast days shoudl really help. WTG on teh work outs!

Michelle - You rock! WTG on teh PR!!!!!

Debra - Thanks tons fro popping in! Ugh, I really need to say hi to otehr teams.

Jim - I'm not sure that you were meant ot bike. ;) SO sorry about the blow out. I cary a spare tube adn pump but really hope I never have to use it. DH did give me a lesson on changing them befor emy last tri, though.

Kate - Great pace! You are just flying these days!!

Bryan - Thanks for all teh encouragement fo everyone! Let us knwo how you're doing!

AFM, I don't know what happened I am tired and sore from my chest to my toes. I haven't done enough to be that sore. Grrr.... I just can't believe I lost it so quickly. I only took abotu a week off. :sad1: (I know, I would tell anyone else that sticking with it when it's no fun is a victory. Still, it's hard to see it that way when it's been 2 in a row)

Pounded through my 60 last night. Not fun, though. Supposed to swim tonight, but I am really tired. May just do drills and try to take it easy.

Great job warriors!!!

I got back on the treadmill last night after a week off from being sick. 2 miles. :thumbsup2 Plus I've been playing wii fit every night.

Kate: I must have missed it. A 12 week marathon plan! :scared1: Stay safe and sane! Great job with your mileage. (Are you really doing Boston? Or it's a goal race?)

Debra i really am doing boston! Have to do 12 week plan due to injury problems and physio, had been planning on 20 week schedule. Please don't think i meet qualifying time because i don't :rotfl: we're in through a sports package company! eurgh. Never intended to do a marathon this year and now i know why :goodvibes

Hi right back at you!

Hi right back at you!

Kate: OMG, OMG, OMG! How exciting for you, the Holy Grail! :yay: I'm so happy for you. I'm even selfishly excited to know someone who's doing Boston. You can bet I'll be cheering for you on the big day! (And during the rest of your training.)

Hey Guys!!

Unfortunately no miles to report today. I got LTO'ed big time and ended up getting stuck at the house. PO'ed & frustrated, but got most of what I had to accomplish done.

I am SO looking forward to going to work tomorrow just to escape from the house. Hopefully I can finish most of the crap on Friday morning.

You guys are all looking great!!!

Kate - Boston? Color me jealous!!
