February 2009 .....Anyone else going then?

My BFF from jr high (16 years ago!) and I are going for 5 nights, as a celebration of our 30th bdays and because I won a free trip! My second time to WDW (her first) and very excited!:cheer2:

My Bridesmaids and I will be going for a "Girls Trip" Feb 1 thru 6.

We are staying at Old Key West and have ADR's at Tutto Italia, Crystal Palace, Yak and Yeti and Brown Derby.

We might try to visit Jellyrolls sometime during our stay.

This will be the First time we have seen each other since the Wedding in October 2007.

If ya'll see Lime Green shirts with TEXAS Wild Women Wander the World on the backs on Monday, Feb 2...say howdy!!!!

DH and I are going the 15th-22nd...school vacation week in the north. We've gone this week before and faced some big crowds. Any recent rreports about how the recession is afffecting WDW crowds?

We will be at CSR Feb 7-15 for dd's 5th b-day. Buzz, your great website encouraged me to switch to CSR! :wizard: :wizard: pirate: 13 princess: 5

I'm pretty sure WDW is expecting lower crowds because they have shortened the park hours, are only doing 2 Fantasmic shows a week, and cancelled Pirate and Princess parties.

I'm so glad that I found this thread--we are going February 11-18, staying at Pop, and celebrating my sister's 16th birthday with an Epcot segway tour. I'll have a LGMH attached to my bag, so feel free to say hi. :wave2:

I can't believe how close February is now. We started our countdown at 90-something days and now have 43. I'm really excited to start saying in a few days that we're going to Disney World next month. :thumbsup2

Does anyone have a list of "events" or "happennings" in February? I am looking for anything that might affect crowd levels, such as school vacations, special events, etc. I have been reading that Mardi Gras for schools is in Feb, and some other school vacations. We are booked from 2/18-3/4, and I could have sworn our travel agent told us we would be there during a very low crowd time, but I am starting to get very nervouse as I read through these boards. We have only been to WDW in Oct, so I am wondering how this will compare. Any insight would be appreciated!
Thanks.

Most vacations are done by then. You might have a few days in the beginning that still are part of school vacations.

Our school vacation up here ends on the 22nd. Some southern states have some time off for Mardi Gras. We have been there before when it was Mardi Gras and after break for up north. It was low crowds. Definately enjoyable.

53 DAYS LEFT FOR ME!!!!!
