FEBRUARY 2008 WDW travelers post HERE!!!

Do we have to buy extra tickets for this?
Is this a show?

THANKS! We are looking to go jan 31- feb 5.
Waiting for a FL residence code!!!

Sabrina is correct, it IS a seperate ticketed event. Last Year we went and this is how it worked. At 4:30 they began letting Party ticket holders in for the party ( IF you had a MK ticket for park entrance, then obviously you could go in at any time.) The Party started at 7pm. IF you did NOT have a Party ticket/wristband, then you were escorted out. It was fantastic, we loved it and it was indeed worth every penny!!! I believe the advance purchase price we paid was around $40 or so, at the gate the price was closer to $50 - I think.

Be advised though, these dates are tenative and tickets are NOT on sale yet!!!

BUT - we are going!!!!! Whoo Hoo

Again - so everyone knows - the MINI meet at the P&P Party on Feb. 2nd is ON!!!!!

Here are the details:

Time - Around 7:00 PM
At - The area in front of the Jungle Cruise

IF you are planning on "meeting" PLEASE post so Lori can add you to page 1.

We plan on this just being a quick "Hello" nice to meet you, and to get a Pic of all of us for the board. We are NOT planning anything else -- just a very quick meet, so we can all go enjoy the P&P Party!!!!

Oh, I'm THRILLED to see the tentative dates for the P&PP. My kids will be so excited. What special activities do they do at the P&PP?

Where can you get the tickets for the Pirate and Princess Party? What goes on? I'm having a hard time understanding why it's worth an extra $40 on top of the regular admission price. That seems like a lot to me. Also, what age group is it geared to? My kids are 6, 5, almost 2.

Thanks!

I'd love to do the PP party and the mini meet, but it is the day we arrive and I just don't think we'll be able to stay up late. Hope you all have a great time!!

I wish I could do the mini meet too, but this is the day we are leaving :(

Do us a favor, take a group picture, and post it on here when you get back, we'd love to look at them.

I will keep checking this thread for a while after we come back, maybe I will even post a few of our pictures.

After that, I will be on the 2009 thread :)

There have been a lot of discussions over at the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board, and most everyone that went this year said it was well worth it. For us, it's not on top of regular admission, as we're not going to any parks that day, so we just plan on going @ 4pm w/ our P&PP tickets and enjoying the park before the event starts. Here is some info from last year's parties (hope this link is allowed, not sure which ones are/aren't):

Thanks for the info. I'm going to check it out now.

Today in the mail I finally got a PIN!!! Too bad it's for dates after I am going 2/14-3/15 it was for 4 nights / 5 days $385 in a value, park hopper + water parks. So didn't really fit us, since we are going Jan 25-Feb 2nd ( 8 days / 9 nights ) and we don't need the water parks. I did however call to see if anything else was attached to my name - but it wasn't. So... pin gone to waste!

I have NEVER received a code - so jealous. Pout.

$385 for four nights, plus the tickets. Am I correct in assuming that this was per person based on two adults in the room? Just curious. (And hoping for a code.)

This party is well worth the extra cost. We did it last year and it is a definite to do this year. We are planning on doing the same as your family -- showing up at 4:00 and saving the PH for that day. You won't regret it. The only thing I would do differently from last year is make sure that we ate before the party. Not all the restaurants are open and there was a line for Pecos Bill's. We plan on grabbing a bigger lunch and just snacks at the party. Enjoy!

aak!
this is so unnerving...when are they going to throw us a bone and give a discount!!! i can't wait to see if there will be one.
patience was never my forte!:confused3

So its in the Magic kingdom.
Do they shut down the magic kingdom? Can we just use our usual pass if we are already in there?
Do we need to buy a ticket?

They "close" MK "early" at 7:00 PM to any guest who has not purchased a separate ticket for the Pirate event. Your AP does not allow you to stay in, but if they do it as before, you may get a discount on the ticket for the event with your annual pass. I put early in quotes because, its only an hour earlier thatn the MK closes many days at that time of year.

I haven't been to the Pirate Party, but I have been to the Halloween ,and Christmas and they were both really cool. Lots of characters (I have a photo of my family with Snow White and all Seven Dwarfs at the Christmas Party.

Hope that helps

Robyn
