::sigh:: It's our last vacation day.

This morning, we pack everything up - my new backpack is going to come in handy! ; ) As we head out the door to put everything in the car, we find checkout paperwork on the door. Everything looked great...except for the shock Keith got when the number has been using for NetZero was listed as long distance! (He had consulted the phone book prior to using it and that prefix was listed as local.) While he headed off to finish checking out stuff in the lobby, I headed to the food court.

While it seemed like a relatively late time of the morning, boy, was the food court crowded! The lines weren't all bad, though, as someone ahead of me noticed my NFFC buttons and asked which chapter I'm in and we struck up a short conversation. : ) (Surprisingly, this was the first time during the entire trip that I met a fellow NFFC member.)

After breakfast, we headed to Epcot.

I was really, really hoping we could get a FastPass for Test Track, but, alas, the projected window was for a time past when we would need to leave. Instead we headed to Wonders of Life where we watched Cranium Command and played with the various exhibits in the Sensory Funhouse. (We contemplated doing Body Wars, asking about flight check, but I didn't want to spend 45 precious minutes of my last morning waiting to do so.)

By now, Universe of Energy was finally opening up. While waiting in line, Keith spied someone with a lit cigarette and informed the gentleman that smoking is only in limited areas of the park. Not long after, a CM looked over, saw me, and asked if Keith was with me. Now I'm thinking what did we do wrong?? My worries soon subsided when he reaches into a pocket, hands us two "re-entry" tickets for Test Track, and says something to the effect of, "You take care of us, we take care of you." We are absolutely tickled, finding this means we can ride Test Track now. : ) Keith does articulate to the CM just how much this means to us.

Needless to say, after Universe of Energy, we head to Test Track! When we reach the "hills" section, we notice that, instead of our speed increasing the 10%, 20%, etc. we're *slowing* down, eventually coming to a stop. This just gives Keith opportunity to pull out the camera and take some pictures. : ) After several minutes, we start moving again, though still somewhat slowly, which is funny because you still hear the screeching sounds of the narrative track. ; ) By now, we're able to see that the car ahead of us is empty, so we're thinking maybe those people were taken off for some reason. (The line for the attraction is just too long for the CMs to be sending out empty cars.) Keith still has the camera out, so when we pop onto the freeway section, for the heck of it he holds the camera up in the air and is taking shots. (We really didn't expect these to come out well, but it ends up that they're some of the best pictures from our trip!) As we're exiting, a CM hands us another re-entry pass. At this point, though, we really need to be on the road so we pocketed the passes with our APs.

Our return flights home are fairly uneventful, though the lines at the Orlando airport were incredible. (According to staff, that's *typical* for weekends - wow!) Also, since we're connecting at Salt Lake, we're subject to temporary special FAA requirements that passengers remain seated for the last 30 minutes on flights in and for the first 30 minutes for flights out.

The time has sure flown by!

The last day of vacation is always so sad. But thanks to the CM - your trip ended on a high note. Sounds like a great trip - thanks for posting!

seem to do.......we got front of the line passes with the safari in AK......made our day......thanks so much for your report and I am wondering if the staying seated was because of the olympics????????

I see you noticed the difference with the crowds at the food court. When we checked in it was very quiet and I noticed they had part of it roped off but it seemed to get busier as the week went on. I think I liked it better when it was quiet arount the resort...but I guess they would be out of business if it was like that all the time! Glad you had a great trip...we did as well and enjoyed out stay very much. Did you go to Seaworld or USF?

Yes, the requirement regarding seating was a temporary rule in effect due to the Olympics.

As for other Orlando area attractions, we only visited the Disney parks (and, even after all that time, we still didn't see and do nearly the things we wanted! <g>).

Thanks for the wonderful report. I enjoyed each and every day. Can't wait!!!

I've enjoyed reading about your trip. Thanks for posting!
