Getting more excited by the day! Especially as people are posting pictures and reports from the first cruise. A couple of questions that I'm surprised I don't know the answers to: Is there a pirate night? What about a semi-formal night?

there should be a pirate night, on ther 3 and 4 nights there is no semi-formal, but instead they call it dress up night

Hi Gordon!

My DD (age 13) and I will be on the cruise too and I mentioned to her about your request. She tends to be a bit reserved in new situations so being able to 'chat' with your daughter before the cruise might be just the thing.

Probably being 'friends' via Facebook might be the way to start. I'll send you a PM.

Our DD Carly who is 13 was wondering if there were any girls her age who might want to chat a bit before the cruise. She has facebook and a cell phone. We just thought it might make them more confortable to have a friend right away since the cruise is so short.

Potential 5-10" for us here in New England on Wed. Doing the snow day dance!!!

We FINALLY got our room assignment last night. What a nice surprise-went from Cat 9A to Cat 6B!! Room with a verandah!!!

Nice I was kindof hoping we'd get upgraded but we booked 2 cabins with points and since the ship is sailing full, I doubt it!

Hahahaha...snowblowers...we don't need no stinkin' snowblowers......we have a 13 year old who is given a might big shovel and tackles our long walkway for cruise spending money and there is the nice plowguy who handles our dirt driveway.

I read on another thread there is a gate and door to Concierge Rooms, so there could be a problem for the FE for anyone staying in those rooms

We woke up to -29C (-20F) this morning! Oh how sweet it will be to leave this all behind for 2 weeks!!

Yikes! Just a few more weeks until warmth! We just have about 8 inches of snow here and it is a comparatively warm 24 degrees F!

This is what greeted me this morning. Snow day for DD but I still had to work. Luckily I can connect from home...love modern technology for that!!

Oh...and at 3 pm...it is STILL snowing. Although our Canadian friend has us beat with the temp- it is only 23 degrees here...ABOVE zero!!

Tons of snow here in Mass. my guess is 18 inches working toward 2 ft no heat or power for a good share of the day. Can't wait for the sun and fun.

That's great that you have power back...what a tough kind of day for no heat and power! We wound up with about a foot of snow today in upstate NY.I can't believe our countdown is in the 30's!

This is our 2nd Disney cruise and the kids can't wait to get on the ship and check it out! Who's kidding....I can't wait to get on the ship and check it out!
