February 20, 2011 DREAM

So the latest at our house: we were at the doctor yesterday (I was really hoping for strep since he could have the medication & be healthy). Strep was negative, then the doctor said she wanted to test him for flu. :scared1: came back as positive for Influenza A! It had been more than the 48 hour time frame, so too late for Tamiflu... Just treat the symptoms and pray! She said it usually lasts 5-7 days & it started Fri night, so we "should" be okay. Right now he's still miserable - poor Noah!

Then she said she was worried about the rest of the family getting it. She gave a prescription to fill for Tamiflu and give Hannah at the first sign of a fever. And she recommended I call my dr. to get the Tamiflu for me & Pat to take it prophylactically (ok for adults to do, not kids). So we did that.

When Hannah got off the bus after school, she said her back hurt her. :confused3. Turned out she had a temp of 103! Then I fell asleep for a little while (I have a sinus infection & started antibiotics for that in the afternoon). When I woke up, I had a fever!

So Hannah & I are hanging in there, taking our Tamiflu. Noah seems a little better this morning, but still miserable. And Pat is afraid to touch anything! He's taking the Tamiflu too. Praying that it all falls into place & we're better in enough time! And don't know how I'm going to get everything done!

:wizard: Sending Pixie Dust that everyone is feeling better FAST!!

Hope everyone is healthy and feeling better soon! It's stressful enough trying to get all the last minute stuff done without being sick. Just concentrate on getting better. Clothes/toiletries and travel docs are all you really need. Everything else falls under the "nice to have" list. :)

Love, love, love the bleach pen shirts. I'll have to keep those in mind for another time.

Door magnets... assigned that job to my daughter. Search for milliepie DISign thread on here. In her signature is a link to her fileshare account that you can print off. Even printing them on regular paper would be fine if you don't have cardstock. Also, you can buy rolls of magnet tape (Joann's or prob Michael's) where you cut the length you want, peel off the waxy paper on one side and stick it to your paper and the other side is magnetic. Be careful with refrigerator magnets that you may be attached to. I've read sporadic accounts on here with things on your door magically disappearing.

We have the 7pm show and 8:30 dining as well.

Sad :sad2:

I'm making new magnets (if we can find the paper...seems to be a shortage in my area :confused3) I usually make exrtas "just incase" some walk off... We've never had any probs though. I make sure mine are mostly personalized.

I still have to get to Home Depot for some LGMH's for our bags and luggage :thumbsup2

We are staying at my in-law's house in Kissimmee. We will have internet access until Sun when we get on the ship. What about everyone else? Also, if someone's room changes, how will we find out for the FE?

Good news! Hannah's fever is gone & she feels fine! Noah is feeling alot better & acting more like himself (still has a bit to go, but so happy to see an improvement). And I feel a touch better. Fingers are staying crossed!

Campingal suggested a spot for the Dismeet by the second pole to the right in front of stage after muster drill, that would probably be the best place to tell of room changes....and here on the boards.

I hope you are all well by the time you leave home.

I will have internet access till at least Thursday, from Friday till Sunday I most likely won't have it and on Sunday I'll have it till we set sail anyway:goodvibes

Glad to hear your all feeling somewhat better

Glad to hear that everyone is feeling better. I was considering wearing a surgical mask to school the rest of the week to avoid all of the yuckies going around.

I believe we have the 5:00 show and then 6:00 dinner.

Those shirts are so cute! Are you wearing them for Welcome Aboard?

Very cute! Our group of 14 has matching shirts as well. A friend in our cruise group designed them and had them printed. We had them on our last cruise together as well! It's an awesome memory, too!

Cannot believe we are soooooo close! Getting super excited! Can't wait to experience our first B2B, too!

Well we are off and running in the morning. We will be leaving for the airport @ 6am. for our 9am flight. May the travel Gods be good to us. See you all in the sunshine state!!

I hope everyone is ready. Its coming so fast and I have a feeling it will go by fast. I have not had very many oppertunitys to come on here so Im sorry to the people that have sent me pm's. I have now replied and hope they are not too late.

My group has been cut from 18 to 9 because of many reasons (most of them are lame) and the people that I have signed up on the FE are still going. We will be flying out on Friday from Sacramento and going to Universal Studios on SAT and then to the port on SUN.

Have you guys decided on a spot for a Meet? I dont feel that I have really got to know any of you from my lack of posting but I thought it would be neat atleast. Well I better get back to homework. See you all soon.

Glad to hear everyone is starting to feel better. DD(11) had a 24 hour bug on Sunday but is feeling great now. I got a call from the nurse yesterday for DD(9) saying her ears were hurting and that they were bulging with fluid:scared1: but no sign of infection. Dosed her with a sudafed and she is much better today. I guess as long as everyone gets it out of their system now we will all be healthy for the cruise:worship: At work until 8pm. This time tomorrow (if all goes well) we be in flight to Florida:cool1:

All sickies get it over with now!! :wizard:

I have a training session at work today, so just 3-4hrs left for me to work...then VACA!!!

Poor DH tried to get me some magnetic paper at the Wallymarts... seems no one knows what it is :confused3 I have to stop by on my way home from training and see for myself. If I can't find it, we wont have magnets this cruise either :(

I have never had any luck finding it in Walmart stores (just online and it is matte finish) I prefer the glossy finish and I know they carry it a Staples but it is pricey(I think $10-12 for 5 or 6 sheets)

I printed them on photo paper, laminated them and used magnetic tape. The tape comes in a dispenser like scotch tape. Very easy

We had a laminating machine. When I get home (if I rmemeber LOL) I will throw the magnetic tape in my bag, If anyone needs some.
