Hi Gord!

I grabbed this for you from the Resort Board on the Pop thread...gotta love the DIS for all the amazing info we can find!

Internet Access
wired ethernet (high speed) internet is available in your room at the fee of $10 for 24 hour period; the speed has been reported very good
no wireless access available anywhere on WDW property
dial-up internet connection is an option; look for the Orlando (not Kissimmee) local number provided by your ISP
there are no courtesy computers to use or pay for use on the resort's property
if you do not have a computer but need internet access, you can rent computer time at the rate of $10.00 for 15 minutes only at the conventions centers located at the Boardwalk Inn, Yacht Club, Dolphin, Contemporary, Coronado Springs, and Grand Floridian resorts; they are available for use by anyone staying at any WDW resort

What parks are you headed to on Thurs-Sat? How about dinner seating on the ship? Just want to give my daughter an idea so she can keep an eye out for your daughter!

Can't wait for sun and warmth!

Liz

Hey everyone, thanks for the quick reply and info, you guys are amazing and this forum has been such an incredible source of information!! :worship:

Hey Liz, great to hear from you. We fly out on Wed @ 9am and arrive in Orlando around 6. Our plan is to do MK on Thurs as they have extended hours that day and probably AK on Fri and MGM Sat. Course it remains , best laid plans, so anything can, and will, happen!

We are camped out @ Pop Century until Sunday and I think we will be at Downtown Disney a couple of the nights. We have a town car picking us up @ 10:30 Sunday to head for the ship.

When do you guys get down and what are your park plans?

DD will have her cell so they can text away. If they/y'all want to arrange to meet at the parks or maybe DTD, that would be great.

FYI, unlike a lot of you I don't know what I will be wearing at any given time but I hope it involves a lot of shorts!! :thumbsup2

Thank you! Hannah can not wait to meet your DD!!!! I am totally thinking fun & sun.... I hope that helps! You may have already mentioned this before, but which dinner & which showtime do you have?

-Renee

We have 6 p.m. dinner and 9 p.m. show. We are planning on MK wed and thur. Fri AK, sat HS. We booked blue lagoon on Nasau as trip advisor says it is one of the top trips. Castaway Cay we have the extreme package. No one wanted to try parasailing with me. We have yet to pack. I got up early so I can finish laundry so we can get going. We downloaded Lauren's homework on her Kindle last night so I think we are all set there. How are you all feeling today?

Your show times should be listed on the cruise line web page under your resies. Door magnets!!!! I forgot to make door magnets is there a quick and easy way to make them I stink at the computer I just got email were do I get the pictures from? Can I pay someone to make them? I do see an all nighter ahead of me as well.http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/surf.gif
Looks like we have the same plan for parks. I agree the best laid plans who knows. We did get our snack list from this site down to 7 pages Lauren wants choc. chip cookies and cookie ice cream sandwiches everywhere.

Door Magnets- fairly easy. Your daughter (she's 11 right?) could probably do it. Have her open a Word document on the computer and then do a Google search for 'Disney Clip Art'...or a specific character. Then you can just add your words. She could just make a collage that you print out and bring some fridge magnets to hold it on the door. Or you get magnet paper from Staples and print the document right on that.

These days it seems our kids are far more computer savvy than we are!!! :confused3

Oh...I was up earlier than usual as well...time to start the IV coffee drip to get me through the next 48 hours! Then I'll replace it with a lovely fruity drink!

Do we know which showtimes we have, already?

Yes- look for it on your online reservation. It is on the summary sheet...it will list both dining time and show time.

From what I have read, they are keeping track of people going to their assigned show. Your key card gets swiped when you go to the show. With this ship having way more people, they need some organized way to ensure there are enough seats for the show. I also heard that if you don't go to your show time, you could go to another show time but not get seated until 5 min before the show if there are seats available.

I will have her read your post and stop on my way home to find the paper and of course I have no ink. IV coffee drip sounds ideal. I have never drank coffee til this week. I might need lots by the end of the dayhttp://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/surf.gif
Where are you staying?

It looks like you all are going to have perfect weather for the parks.:thumbsup2

Last full work day for me!

So the latest at our house: we were at the doctor yesterday (I was really hoping for strep since he could have the medication & be healthy). Strep was negative, then the doctor said she wanted to test him for flu. :scared1: came back as positive for Influenza A! It had been more than the 48 hour time frame, so too late for Tamiflu... Just treat the symptoms and pray! She said it usually lasts 5-7 days & it started Fri night, so we "should" be okay. Right now he's still miserable - poor Noah!

Then she said she was worried about the rest of the family getting it. She gave a prescription to fill for Tamiflu and give Hannah at the first sign of a fever. And she recommended I call my dr. to get the Tamiflu for me & Pat to take it prophylactically (ok for adults to do, not kids). So we did that.

When Hannah got off the bus after school, she said her back hurt her. :confused3. Turned out she had a temp of 103! Then I fell asleep for a little while (I have a sinus infection & started antibiotics for that in the afternoon). When I woke up, I had a fever!

So Hannah & I are hanging in there, taking our Tamiflu. Noah seems a little better this morning, but still miserable. And Pat is afraid to touch anything! He's taking the Tamiflu too. Praying that it all falls into place & we're better in enough time! And don't know how I'm going to get everything done!

Renee,

My nephew had this about 2 weeks ago. He just started feeling normal yesterday. I am always around him so I am taking large doses vitamin C, D, zinc and olive leaf extract. I can not get sick now!! I think if any of us wer going to catch it we probably would have by now. Bringing all my vitamins with me. Sending :goodvibes to all of you. See you soon...Debbie

For the magnets, you could also look on the "Creative DISigns" board. Lots of people have blanks you can personalize. Most of them will also personalize it for you, but since you are cutting it close with the tIming, I'd say to do it yourself. For ours, we printed it on regular paper & had them lamenated & glued magnets (ones from restaurants & stuff) to that. To make it easier/quicker for you, I'd print on cardstock or paper & get the magnetic index cards with adhesive (you can get that wherever you get your ink) & do that. It should be cheaper than using the magnetic printer paper, but still easy. I'd totally offer to make them for you, but at the moment I think I need to focus on other stuff.

We have 7 pm showtime & 8:30 dinner. We don't have any excursions planned, and no specific park plans either. If we're up to it, we may do a park Fri or Sat. But we are definitely playing it by ear.

I hope everyone is feeling better soon! That must be so stressful! It has been stressful enough getting ready for this trip...I can't imagine having a sick family to. I love the bleach mickey head shirts....so cute!

Everyone hang in there...we will be in the sunshine soon!

OH MY!!!! As I read this I was reaching for my stash of 'Halls Defense' drops to get my zinc and Vit C and using my hand sanitizer.

I hope you all feel better FAST!
