February 20, 2011 DREAM

Just checked again and it says it has room for my party which is 3 at Atlantis. Not the big dolphin swim just the park. We are on line tonight doing the online check in. The airlines also called today for some info . Check again you might be luckyhttp://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/thumbsup2.gif

We were out today for the snow and ice. Waiting to see what tomorrow will bring along with Friday. Heard some more white stuff is coming!

Thanks for the replys on WDW-Port transport- wow- that $29.99 Budget rental was quite a fine! :thumbsup2

Now my next random question- I've just finished doing my 'online check in' (yay me- makes it feel like our cruise is really close) but I can't find where to do the pre-registration for the kids clubs. I looked all around the site...and even got an e-mail reminding me to pre-register. Has anybody pre-registered their child and if so, just where on the website did you find it. :confused3

Could be it is the end of the work day and my eyes aren't working properly!

Thanks!

Liz

The online checkin for the kids is on Disney cruise line web site under my cruise plans, hope that helps!

Spent the 4 day weekend on fe gifts and reading all the reports coming from the Dream. I can't wait for this next month to go by!

Has anyone notice that the Disney Dream does NOT have fish for extenders. It has Seahorses for your extenders. Saw:sail: it on something we were looking at about the Disney Dream this past weekend.

It sounds like some are fish, some are seahorses, and some are starfish. :). Very cool, as long as they all work the same for the FE's (obviously).

Thanks for responding- that is where I checked but for some reason, I can 'see' the buttons for things like excursions, Palo etc...even 'nursery' is there but it is greyed out since I'm not traveling with an infant but there isn't a button for 'kid's clubs'.

I'll just have to call them...one more thing to add to my 'to do' list!

So, is anyone else going to be watching the Christening of the Dream today? I will

I am going to try....I have got to start packing things....Haven't done anything yet! I need to be done early so I can re-check things a couple of times...I know, a little obsessive!

Packing....I have 4 weeks to do that! (I leave 4 weeks & 1 day...lol):lmao:

I will try too. I am at work but if things are quiet I can watch. I hope:goodvibes

Working as well, but if I am at my desk I will watch.

Have a great day everyone!

I am at work and have the screen up ready to watch the live feed:thumbsup2

Have we decided on a DIS meet yet? Or are we waiting to hear back from other sailings for the best location to have?

Kid's Club reservation mystery solved...since my daughter is 13...she doesn't need to register any more. Seems that now they have a 'tween' group- kids ages 11 and up don't have to register- just kids 3-10. Thus that option doesn't appear on my online reservation.

I did speak to a very lively/fun sounding CM (Sandy). She made it worth the call even though I probably didn't have to call her if the info was clearly on the website!

So- those of you traveling with kids 11 years old and up- no kid's club reservations for them. They are free to come and go as they please.

No, we haven't decided on where to have Dis meet and are waiting to find out where the best spot might be, but if you or anyone else want to try and pick a place that might be good feel free too, we already picked 3:00pm on boarding day as a good time, just waiting to see where might be good

For those of us who are doing B2B cruises this is what I found out about how it works between cruises from another thread. This is from the Wonder but I'm sure something similar will be happening on the Dream.

Not quite cool enough these days, sorry. I believe they used to let you stay onboard, but not now.

The process is simple, and actually good fun.

You get your info the night before. If you are changing rooms you pack up ad leave everything in your room and it all gets moved for you. You do need to take your old room key and all your new cruise documents as normal, plus stuff you will need for a couple of hours out of your room.

I popped a couple of loads in the washer, putting a sticky note on the washer to say we were still onboard.

They give you a time to meet somewhere. I think it was about 9.30am in Sessions. Once everyone getting off the ship has done so, you are all escorted off, then back into the terminal. The terminal building is all empty, and great for photographs. Very quickly someone comes to check you in, and when you are all done, they let you back onboard. I think we were onboard for not long after 10am. It is all a very painless procedure.

If you have kept your same room, you can go back there, but don't want you going under the tape blocking the room corridors once all the new cruisers are onboard, or they want to do that too!!!! But it means you can go get all your laundry finished. If you are changing rooms then the normal 1.30pm rule will apply, unless you know the room steward and your room is finished early.

You can wander the ship and get great photos. You base yourself at Cove Cafe, and they have a few pastries there. The drinks station should be open. Otherwise there is nothing until the buffets open at 12md.

We had a starboard room so it was great watching all the ship side activity.

I loved our changeover day and didn't think it a wasted day.

if anyone wants too, feel free to check out my trip report from 2009 when I did a back-2-back, it was on the Magic so longer then a back-2-back on the Dream, but I still loved it and I'm sure I'll love doing a back-2-back on the Dream as well, but anyway here's is my trip report from it
