I've been following many of your posts concerning packing and can't help but be amused. I'm always in awe of the family who boards the ship with just a couple of rolling duffel bags. My family, on the other hand, brings enough luggage to hold an outfit for every conceivable weather event!!
We also are leaving early Friday morning and I am no closer to STARTING the "packing event" than I was a week ago. Probably why I'm waking up at 4AM in a panic!
While chatting with Disney Cruiseline folk yesterday, the very helpful woman told me that, even on Formal Night, men are not required to wear sportcoats, let alone a suit, tux or even tie. She said as long as my DH wore a button-down shirt, that's acceptable. I was surprised to hear that and will be curious to see how many menfolk abide by that guideline. DH will be wearing his suit, our DSs (ages 13 and 11) will wear dress shirts and ties.
Someone had asked about the temperatures on the ship at night. Pretty comfortable, but I always like to have a lightweight jacket or shrug for myself, especially if my top/dress is sleeveless. Sometimes, the air conditioning can be chilly. However, I pack summer-weight PJs for all of us. You can always adjust the temperature in your cabin and ask for additional blankets if necessary.
I can procrastinate no further, it's off to begin packing. Now, where'd I put that darn Packing List. . . ?
