Hi long lost dis cruise friends.. I forgot my password so it took me a bit to come back.

Sue, I bought a picture of Chris and Garrett at Castaway cay. I need to figure out a way to scan it to you.

We rebooked for July 6-13th 2008. It is going Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta... Anyone else book?

This cruise was our first ever and loved it! My kids LOVED the kids club and teen club.

Lisa, your second week sounded fabulous! I have friend leaving in the morning for Orlando to leave Saturday on the Eastern... I am so jealous!

OOOOOO -- could you ask your friend to stop by the Cove Cafe and get the recipe for their Banana Creme Pie Martini? Someone on the ship right now was supposed to get it and post it but they haven't been online so I don't know if they did get it.

And . . . funny you should inquire about booking another cruise. Tonight at Walmart, I bought a pattern to make pirate costumes for my bunch for our 2/2/08 Eastern. Its going to be me, my 17 yo dd, my oldest dd, dsil, dgd, dgs, and sister (along with my daughter's father and his sister in laws).

I want to go back NOW!!!!

Can you believe it's April 12 already, and to make it even more unbelievable, it's going to SNOW here! Last night they were saying 6-12 inches, but it's been downgraded to 1-4. That's still too much-I have a 3/4 built septic system in my backyard that they can't finish in rain/snow. It's lousy here until next Tuesday-they are talking about a huge storm (not sure of the rain/snow line) on Monday-maybe cancelling the Boston Marathon for the first time in history. I wish I was going on the Magic this week!!! . We rebooked for 12/08, but hope to bump it to 2/2009 if the Magis does a western (or we'll bump it again-looking for different ports this time).
I have some really good pictures of Chris and Garrett too. I am stuck home today for the electrician, so I'll try to scan and send them to you. Check your PMs. I just want to be sure the e-mail address I have for you is correct.
I have been talking about RCI for another cruise (RCI has some great itineraries) and my kids all want to do DCL again. They had such a great time. I think it was in large part to the kids they met on this board. They all had connections before they boarded and had the time of their lives.
I am so jealous of you guys for having cruises coming up soon. At this point, we're looking at 2009. I do think we are going to try to go to WDW in 2008 though. I may lose it if I see a DCL bus, and attach myself to it (LOL).

Just wanted to share my dd15's experience on a Carnival cruise she was on over Easter with a friend (and friend's family) . My dd said the youth area was not as nice as the Magic's, no atmosphere. If there wasn't a planned activity the area was closed, no just hanging out with friends. It also sounded like some of the kids were a little out of control. The other thing that I was suprised at was they did not have wipes or purell at the doors to the restaurants. You'd think they'd worry about norovirus. My dd said the waitstaff was not as friendly as our DCL crew (she didn't even know their names!) I told her she is now a "cruise snob" and has tasted the creme de la creme in cruising. I am busy scapbooking all my pictures this week. That's my Easter goal!!! (and trying not to eat all the Easter candy...)

Lisa, they left Thursday, but I have another friend going in September so let me know in September if you still need that recipe.... PS Can you make a few more outfits LOL!

We are house bound because of the snow, I cannot believe that we got such a huge storm this late in the year.... I want to go on a cruise.
We are also looking at 2009, but I am having the same issue as Sue and would like a western, and it looks like it will an eastern again. At least I can't complain too much we are going to WDW this summer and staying at Fort Wilderness which we love.

Christine-how much snow did you get? We got about 3, but it all washed away with the 6 inches of rain we got after. We lost power today for about 7 hours-not fun! (Thank goodness we have a battery back up system for our sump pump-we'd have a swimming pool in our basement.)

We are thinking maybe April 2009 will be a western....if so, we may go then. This February was too close a call for my comfort , and I don't think I can wait past 2009 because my oldest will be in college and family vacations may cease for a while
We are thinking of going to WDW next year for a week, also April, so we'll get a Disney fix. I've started hanging out on the DISboards about WDW. It's changed a lot since we went...

We got about 15" of snow, the really wet heavy miserable kind....
I enjoy cruising in February, as it is always so miserable here, and it is such a nice break from the sno, but I agree that this past trip was very tricky.....

I am not sure what we are going to do, yet.

Oh, I WISH!! Those cruises are smack dab in the middle of summer baseball tournament play. We go camping every summer, and can't even do that until the end of August right before the boys go back to school...

I know I want to go on a Western cruise so our next cruise may be on RCCL. Don has even started talking about Alaska, which I think I'd do with Norwegian. We really liked Pride of Hawaii last summer in the Islands.

We escaped the storm by driving to Hilton Head and the DVC there. We had the "Import-a-Friend" program for Dan with 2 buddies, rented bikes for them and it was almost like the cruise -- they showed up for food!

It's so nice to still see everyone posting.
