I agree this will be a FANTASTIC cruise!!! I really never realized how I called my Mom for EVERYTHING. This was suppose to be a year filled with celebrations for her aug 7th would have been her 70th birthday and sept 7 my parents would have celebrated thier 50th wedding anniversary.

Welcome aboard. I wish I could keep a cruise a surprise but I am a big baby and have to talk about it a lot!!!
Ask question when you want I have never been on the fantasy before but I cruised on the Dream last year.

We sailed on the dream Feb 2012. We booked the Fantasy before but couldn't sail so now we are finally going.

SeattleRN, I'm a RN in NY lol. Keeping the secret must be hard my daughter even follows me in the bathroom as if we don't have another.

It is hard! Lol. My DS can be a bit oblivious at times, he has hyper focus on whatever he's currently into. I've slipped up a couple times and mentioned something to my partner about cruise this or cruise that, but if he seems to hear I always follow it with "if we ever take another Disney cruise." He loved our last one and still talks about it often.

Having this vacation planned is the only thing keeping me sane and making me say yes when they call for OT. ;)

So how is everyone getting to the port? I'm torn between DCL bus from our resort or a private car service. We're flying southwest, so some of the benefit of using DCL transfer is already lost.

SeattleRN- we take the DCL bus. We took it on the last cruise and it worked out well for us. It is pricey, but with two little kids, we like the convience of not having to handle our luggage.

We are taking a car service to the port from WDW. There are 10 of us going and split between two hotels, but we like picking our own time. We are taking the DCL shuttle to the airport post cruise though...we finally have a flight earlier in the day rather than 7pm!!!! Woohoo!

Anyone staying at a Disney resort beforehand want to share the cost of a van with Happy Limo? Up to 10 people is $169 + tax and tip each way. I'd really like to get to port just before 11am. Let me know ;)

So happy to hear that others would be into a fish extender! We've never participated in one before, is there someone who has who would know how to run it? That would be awesome

We may be interested in the FE as well. Anyone willing to organize the group. We have never participated in this type of exchange before, but it sounds like something that is really fun.

Hi all,

Long time lurker (the disboards info was so valuable during our first cruise last year on the Wonder) signing in to say hi. We just reserved rooms on deck 7 for this cruise, and I am so excited!

We are four: myself, DH, DD 8, and DS 6. We're coming from the SF Bay Area. Our friends are joining us too, a family of four with two daughters, also 8 and 6. Since they moved to Seattle we've been coordinating vacations to see each other, but they've never done DCL before. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces!

So, looking forward to meeting you guys before the cruise. Gonna have to learn more about FE gifts ... I wasn't planning to check a bag. Eh, plans can change! :cutie:

How do you find out the rotations for the MDR? I have seen threads on this but it doesn't really connect for me. I know Pirate Night is when we're in Cozumel, and we're planning to do Nachio Cocum (sp?) all day that day. I think we'd like to come back to the boat and take a nap, miss dinner and then do the pirate party. So I don't want to miss a cool dinner. Any thoughts on this? TIA :)

I think it is really reasonable to miss dinner and just eat at the Pirate Party. When we went up to the pirate party, I couldn't believe the amount of food and wonder who in the world was going to eat it all since we were so full from dinner (which was my least favorite meal of the 7 day cruise).

I'm not a big fan of the pirate dinner in the MDRso we are planning on eating at Cabanas that night. Want to give the kids ore flexibility in going to all of the pirate activities and seeing all of the characters.

Hey K3chantal, small world! :wave2: When we sailed the Wonder out of Miami last year, I don't think we found anyone from California; here there's already a couple.

We sailed on the Wonder out of the Port of LA and really wanted this time to leave from a California port but we didn't want to go to Alaska. So off to Florida we go!
