Hi everyone, we are 2 families coming from Calgary. 5 kids in all ( 12, 9, 7, 3, 3). This is our first cruise so super excited! Just FYI I booked transport from near LAX to the port with Saferide Transport for the nine of us in a limo for $130, then we are using a 9 passenger van to get to Disneyland from the port and it was $95. Going back from Disneyland in the van is $120 I believe. About the same price as a shuttle, but private!

I am still on the fence on the FE exchange...not sure if we have time to get a FE and still not totally clear on all the details! I certainly don't have the time to do homemade gifts at this point...can anyone give me a simple rundown? I know the kids would love it..I just need someone to convince me!

LAX to disneyland hotel: $110.00
Disneyland Hotel to Port: $90.00
Port to LAX: $90.00

We need car seats for all four of our kids which is usually $5.00 per seat, they are giving us all four seats for $10.00 total on each trip, which are not added in the total above.

Glad I could help! That is exactly the deal we got and I was thrilled So much cheaper than Disney transport and no extra stops like with a shuttle! We booked a Limo from our hotel near LAX (we arrive the night before) to the port just to see the kids faces when they walk out of the hotel! Being our first cruise we are doing what we can to make it special! I am starting to get the feeling I'll be booking the next one while onboard!!

Hey all,

Couple things on Fish Extenders. I see that someone else posted some questions too.

We just finished making ours on Sunday. Honestly, I did a no-sew method that I found on one of the DIS boards.

After buying some fabric, it honestly took me maybe an hour to do it. It's done by using heming tape (an ironing method). Actually really impressed how it turned out! I may not be able to sew, but turns out I can iron well! lol

The question I have for the roll call of people already is, are there anymore people participating in Fish Extenders? And what do we do for people that are able to pull off an upgrade when they check in??

I'm not doing home-made gifts. I wish I was that talented, but I'm not. I have done pretty well finding Disney related items, so more of a goodie-bag or stocking kind of thing from us.

Hopefully I've talked more people into it!?!?! Looks like we're at about 11 families in so far.

Just an FYI, doombuggy is on the first page of the roll call and also shows they are interested in FE. They are no longer going on this cruise but are instead going on the dream on the same date. I just saw this when I was looking up all those interested in the FE. They are my cousins who convienced us to go on the cruise and then changed because the airfare was expensive from Florida, where they live, so luck. WE couldn't pass up the kids cruise free thing. Just thought maybe you could update this.

Did everyone hear that our itinerary changed? No longer going to Mazatlan. Stopping on cabo twice. Our sea day has been changed. It didn't show up yet when I signed on only when I went to look at excursions. I had to change my spa for a sea day.

Very disappointed, not that they are concerned about safety in Maz., but that we go to Cabo twice...
I would have rather that they had another port, Manzanillo, La Paz. Cabo's water is cold...

We have Palo booked for the Day 3, which was a Sea Day, not Cabo...
Hopefully they move our reservation over....if we don't cancel completely.

I dont know what time we will be in cabo the first time. The other cabo and pv remain the same.

There was talk on the board about violence in mazatlan reported in a globeandmail article and the vancouver sun. Can't find that site right now

I'm off to buy fabric today, hope it goes well.

For the upgrade at port, I've seen people put a note on their previous door saying that they're now in a new cabin.

We are going to take our chances with adventures off the boat and not book until we are on board. We are thinking about the Paradise beach adventure in PV, we are still up in the air about Cabo. We wanted to zip line, but a 60 min drive into nowhere is starting to make us think again, I am sure we are over thinking things. I hear that the water in cabo is cold this time of year. We are also hoping that they add a few new options now that we are going back twice.

We are so excited for the 2/13 cruise. We've been on NCL and Princess, but this is our first Disney Cruise. We just ordered a FE - a friend of ours gave us the heads up!! Please count us in as well.
Me - 37 - DH 38 - DS 7 - DD - 5.

Also - just heard that Mazatlan has been dropped from the itinerary and a second stop in Cabo was added.
