WHERE IS EVERYONE?!?!?!?!

I can't believe that there isn't a single post this morning. You all must be busy trying to finish up everything before we go. I'm so excited that I only have 2 more days at work before we leave. My assistant is driving me nuts right now and I really need to get away from her.

Well I am still here Jen, I have been reading over the posts from the beginning to get a grasp on what people have been saying and trying to see just how things are unfolding for everyone. It is very interesting reading this late in the game.

You only have 2 more days at work huh, well I only have 10 hours and then I am off until we leave Fri morning Woo Hoo !!

Yes I am at work and reading the DIS Board I have my priorities ya know ...

Wow, time really is beginning to move fast, it seems as though the evenings go by so quick. We have begun to pack, or atleast Julia has, I don't need to put my undies and beer coolie in the carry-on until Fri morning. Something that I don't recall seeing in any of these posts, when we all begin to arrive at the terminal ( or atleast all of you, I will be there at 4am ) are we planning on locating one another then or waiting until we get on ship and meet at the brunch? Exactly how did you want this to unfold?

I just found out about this website yesterday! We are also going on the Feb 12th cruise. I have been reading a few of the posts. We would love to meet some of you. I read something about a character Breakfast, is this something we can still sign up for? What time should be arrive to board the ship?

Welcome Shannon....No you do not have to sign up for the Character Breakfast..its included with the Cruise. There are three days they do the CB, your dinning rotation will determine which day you can go.........

Jen, your gonna be fine......... This time next week we will be swiming with the 'Rays........... Wer'e having to rush around alot. Dont have time to explain right now......Will discuss with you all once we get to the Port !!!

Laura may have a chance to check in later today.......She's off and running trying to get the pets ready.......

Hope all your packing and last minute details go smoothly.....

Looking forward to meeting you all..........I can tell that with this group.......This will be the Best Disney Cruise Ever !!!!

OK, OK I have a confession...I started packing last night. I started thinking about the small things that I need to gather together...various meds (Bonine, Tums, decongestant), travel iron, corkscrew...can't forget that one, zip lock bags, lighted alarm clock, etc., etc. and I thought that if I didn't start now I'd forget something later.

On another note, I met Carmella a pharmacist from NY who is a single mom traveling the same cruise. I told her about our DisMeet because she has three young'ins and wants them to meet others. I told her there were about a gaziliion kiddies (OK, so I said about 15-20) with this crowd and they'd be in good company. So let's welcome Carmella as part of the gang if she shows up at the meet.

By the way, just as an interest on this thread...what do you each do for a living? Thought it might be fun to find out...I run the business side of veterinary pharmaceutical company....great job, great company.

Hi Everyone,
I look at the countdown clocks and I can't beleive it is almost here!
My family is coming from differnt places, so mom is leaving today, DS and her family leave tomorrow, and I leave Friday. I have the packing done, and now am only stressing about the trip. Francisca asked what we all do for a living, and I have been a flight attendant for 18+ years, so you would think this would not stress me out, but I have to confess, I've never checked luggage! And when you are traveling by yourself, you have to take it with you everywhere. No, hey watch this while I run to the bathroom. So I see skycaps in my future. Something else I've never used! This will be an educational trip for me I think.
Well, again looking forward to meeting you all. You can't tell alot from these boards, but so far you all remind me a lot of my friends here in AZ.

I'm the cook at my DD's school. I feed around 150 everyday. It's because of this that I'm so anxious to get on the ship and have someone else cook for me! LOL Joe is the service manager for a water treatment company.

Well, it looks as though there are additions to the DIS family almost daily, I think we are going to need a bigger boat Popeye!

Hmmm, what do I do for work, well as little as possible, I am Canadian ya know (lol) - I work in the Information Technology Department at Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino Resort. It is a busy job at times and other times I find things to do which give me some downtime

We, like all of you have lots of pakin to do, and like all of you I don't think there is enough room for everything I want to bring ...

Welcome all new DIS Cruisers!!

I have one more day of work left and then we fly out Friday at noon. I used to be a LPN in Canada but then switched to a dealer at the casino. Did that for over seven years and recruited myself to the accounting department at the casino and have been there for a year and a half. Its okay.

Gonna try and snaffuu out of work tomorrow a little early if I can work fast enough! LOL

Tonight its gonna be the decision of what to wear with what, and then piece it together and hope on the day its time to wear that outfit it still looks, feels or goes together......I think you women know what Im talking about....something that looks good today may look like crap tomorrow! LOL

Then throw in the ..."well this will look okay with this too stuff"...LOL

Back to packing and all the excitement! Safe driving Laura and Mark!!

This has been so fun. Cant wait to meet all in person. Every hour it gets closer.
Took a break from packing tonight, finishing up some other stuff. Tommarrow it all goes in. What I end up with is what I got. We fly out Friday morning.

Things at work have been a little tense. Some people need to relax Anyway I work for SBC, its a job. For now, anyway been there 25 years, no stopping now. As for DH, as I have mentioned as of Friday he has sold his business. He and his 3 partners(also cousins) owed a beer & wine wholesale business. It was a company his grandfather started. Very mixed feelings. Soo drinking is sort of a occupation for him.

Laura and Mark, and everyone else safe travels.

Welcome Shannon, glad you found us.

I am packing, doing laundry and itching. Woke up yesterday with a really bad rash. Hoped it would go away. It didn't, in fact only got worse. It's an allergic reaction to medication, have had it before. Called the Dr yesterday and was seen this afternoon. So now my blinding white legs are also red and splotchy. Am on two scripts and should be feeling much better in a few days.

We leave Thurs early afternoon. Can't believe it's less than 2 days.

As some of you may recall, I am a RN with my MBA, who thankfully now is a SAHM (stay at home mom). DH is an engineer, in lean manufacturing. His official title is "Master Black Belt 2", but most people then think he is into martial arts, so he sticks with the lean manufacturing explanation.

Can't wait to meet all of you.
And yes, kudos again to Jen for starting and maintaining this thread

AArrrrgggg!! Packing is so bad here. Now if we were off to Cuba I would know what to pack. Shorts, bathingsuit, two sweatshirts and tops. But with this cruise holy cow! Have to do almost everything as you cannot tell what the weather will be like. Therefore, you have to do the shorts, tops, pants, dress clothes for dinners, five different pair of shoes, bathing suit, jacket, sweats yada yada......geeesshhh!! Should have been a man!

Does anyone know if we have access to an iron in the laundry area or should I pack ours to take?? Help!

I dont want to go to work tomorrow.

Thanks Wendy, we leave Wednesday afternoon....... Weather looks a little dicey till we get into Kentuckey........ We have a large 4 wheel drive SUV (can you say lots of gas expense.......LOL) So packing should not be a problem....
