WOW WOW, I am so excited for you Jen. I bet the new family will be too. So I guess coming to Cedar Point next summer is out of the question too.JenGang said:I'm still here! I know there is still time to get on that cruise but I really can't see it happening. I have about a week and a half before our first attempt at getting pregnant. I'm really crossing my fingers that it works out the first time because they're so anxious to have a baby.
Joe told me he talked to you and that you really did enjoy your cruise with Laura. Sorry I missed you that day. That darn work thing just gets in the way of my social life sometimes. LOL
Well you know Joe and beth can come and ride and you can wait. I even meet you I do not like a lot of those rides anyway.JenGang said:I ended up not sending the package after all. I was going to overnight it to them but the line at the post office was insanely long. I had a bib, baby bottle and a little stuffed lamb in the box. I also had taken a picture of the positive home pregnancy test. I ended up just calling them. They are so excited that they were speechless. Both of them were crying.
And yes Steph, this does mean that Cedar Point is out of the question now! I'm sure Joe will be dissapointed about that but there isn't much that can be done about that! LOL We will get out there one of these days. Beth is just dying to go there to go on the coasters. She's such a daredevil!
JenGang said:Not sure if anyone is still reading here but just incase someone is, I thought I'd share my good news.
My couple came to MN last week to see me and we had a high density ultrasound done. Not only is this baby nice and healthy with all 10 fingers and toes but...
IT'S A BOY!!! Considering that I've had 4 girls, I didn't even think it was possible for me to carry a boy! My intended parents are so happy. He has 7 nieces in his family and not a single nephew. So needless to say, this baby boy will be one very spoiled little boy.
I'm almost half way through the pregnancy and so far everything is going well. I already miss seeing my feet but thankfully I can still reach them to tie my own shoes!![]()
JenGang said:Up to this point, my surrogacy has been going great. The pregnancy hasn't been too hard but I will say that I'm feeling old and this one has been more difficult on my body. I guess 5 babies is my limit. LOL
This past weekend I did get some news that is going to make the rest of this journey a little more difficult. I can't remember if I told you anything about my intended parents or not but my intended mom has survived breast cancer twice. She's been cancer free for 6 years now so we have all felt pretty confident. Recently she's had some shoulder pain but thought it was related to the new desk she has a work. One night she was rubbing her shoulder and found a lump. She went to her dr the next day and spent all of last week at dr appointments. Her cancer is back but this time it's in her neck and shoulder. She sees her onocologist on Weds. and we'll know then how they plan to treat her.
We're all an emotional train wreck right now. she's worried that I won't give them the baby because she has cancer and I'm more worried that they won't want the baby because she has cancer. I'm flying out to NH to visit them next week. It'll give me a chance to see the great support system that they have in their family and will hopefully convince her that I don't want her baby.
If you could all just say a little prayer that she'll have a full recovery, I'd appreciate it.
JenGang said:Hello to anyone that still checks out this board. I just wanted to give everyone a quick update. I delivered a nice big healthy boy for my intended parents on August 22nd. He was 9 lbs. 1.5 oz. and 21" long. Definately my biggest baby yet. His parents are of course thrilled with him and keep telling me just how perfect he is. Ahh, I do such nice work. LOL
I'm feeling pretty darn good considering that I delivered 2 weeks ago and I'm getting so old. Had a little bit of upsetting news on Friday. My work closed down and I'm now unemployed. It sucks because I knew I was going to job hunt once I was back from maternity leave but now I need to start looking sooner. Oh well, I'm sure there's something better out there for me! I have to say that I really have cruise fever but with this latest set back, I think it'll be a while before that's happening!
Hope everyone is well!
Hugs,
Jen
