February 10th 2013 ~ 4 Night Dreamy Dream Cruise!

One Week til I can book shore excursions and other fun things aboard the ship! I can't believe it is coming so quickly.

What activities are people planning to do?

Hi! I am new to this. Our family is escaping the hectic crowds of parades for WDW and a DCL. Yeah, we are so excited for both! We are looking forward to FE club. I was wondering, I signed us up to participate, but didn't have our stateroom number then, but now do. Where do or who do I need to let know this? Thanks, Pinell family

for anyone that is interested in the FE and has any questions or addittional information to add to the list please PM me....thanks

My husband and I are planning to take it pretty easy on this cruise. We are probably going to stay on the ship at Nassau. At Castaway Cay we are thinking about renting bikes to explore the island and spending the rest of the time relaxing at the beach, if the weather cooperates.

We are relaxing on this cruise. Haven't decided what activities we will do if any, staying on the beach and coming on the ship early when everyone else is busy on shore sounds great! Our friends family is also escaping the Mardi Gras madness for our cruise. Looking forward to great time! Anyone play cards? Be fun to do a tournament...

Anyone having problems posting updates to the FE List just post the info on here and I will makr the changes......thanks
;)

For any of you interested in brunch on the Day at Sea, I just booked and looked like most times were open. I was going to do the whole "1 min past midnight" thing but decided to just wing it. Woke up randomly at 3AM (thanks puppy!) and decided to see if any slots were still available. They were!:cool1: We've got an 11AM reservation but there were earlier and later ones still left. Good Luck!

Wow! I just logged in and they only gave me the option of 12:10pm or 12:30pm, but hey at least I got in. :cool1:

We just booked last week! It is going to be our first cruise! We are pumped and nervous!
It will be myself, and DH, and DD (7) DS (5) and DS (3) But they will be closer to 8,6, and 4 birthday's within a month or so after cruise.

We are also hitting up DW for three days post cruise. We have done Disney as a family before, and been more than once, but this will be our first cruise. We are hoping that you can fill us all on on what we need to do so we don't miss anything, and let us know what our kids will not want to miss, and what we will want to avoid as well. There is no Ocean anywhere NEAR where we live. Draw a dot in the middle of the US and you will be pretty close to us.

We know about FE, so no worries there, and I think we will skip this time around, I am too overwhelmed by everything else. :) So many questions!!

1. Snorkleing at Castaway Cay. What are the age limits if any? I have pretty good swimmers and they snorkle in the bathtub all the time. lol Just curious how that works. Do you just rent the stuff and go anywhere? Will my 3 year old be able to try or will we have to split up the family for that activity?
2. What do we need to sign up for NOW? Because it is our first time I think we will be ok missing out on a few things just so we can take everything in. I am not sure we will go off ship at all at Nassau but we are SUPER excited about Castaway Cay. What do you reccomend we do for a family of five with kids 3,5, and 7. If there was one thing we shouldn't miss, what would it be?
3. Weather... heard someone say it was perfect last Feb. But not sure if "perfect" means the same for everyone. We are swimming fans. What are the temps like on the boat? Colder in the am and evening? Do we need to change clothes multiple times during the day to follow the weather?

In preperation for the cruise and our Disney trip afterwards. I have invented a Disney Movie Marathon, Move Marathon. popcorn::Meaning every time my kids watch a Disney Movie, which they will a ton after Christmas once they find out about the trip, I will park it on the elptical for the movies. I will try to work up to the whole durration of the movie at a certian pace.
I thought it was quite a clever idea and worth sharing. My elptical is in the basment facing our projection screen behind the couch, so it should work great!

Anyone want to join me in the Disney Movie Marathon? I am actually starting with Christmas movies, but can't call it what it is until after the kids open the cruise for Christmas.:woohoo:

I've been reading the message boards for months but this is my first-ever post. It will also be my first-ever cruise, sailing with my DH. DS (18), is at college, and DD (15) will be in school. I'm so excited! Checked in this AM, got a Palo dinner reservation for pirate night. Looked like they had lots of reservation times available, so hopefully it will be a less-crowded cruise. Anyone else traveling without their kids?

Hi! I have been on two disney cruises so I am not an expert but I will try to help.

1. I think you need to be 5 or older for snorkelling. You can rent the snorkelling gear or bring your own equipment and can use their vests for free.

2. I haven't cruised in February but have cruised twice in October. I found the dining rooms quite cool at dinner and wore a sweater every night. That could just be me. There were still people swimming at night.

3. I would sign up for Palo now if you are interested and any excursions you are interested in.

Hopefully, someone else can chime in to add some comments. :)

Thanks shezfrombermuda! Super helpful to be honest. I always get cold at resturants. Sweaters it is!

So....:rolleyes1 do you think that it is quiet on here because our cruise is pretty empty? Or... do you think our cruise is just anti-social. :confused3
I see so much chatter on other threads. Where is everyone?

Curious also if anyone is headed to Disney after the cruise? We will be adding on three days and we were just curious. (I hear pres. weekend is kinda crazy at the parks, and curious if anything interesting will happen on Valentines Day.)
