One of my friends that lives in Florida invited me at the last minute to go on a cruise with her. She wanted to do a 7 day but I have to be home for Thanksgving so the 3 day is the only one that worked. I feel really guilty and tried to talk her into taking someone else but she said she can count on having a good time and being herself with me. It was such a nice compliment.

Disney and The Big Red boat are the only cruise lines I have been on but my brother has been on a couple other and says nothing compares to Disney. I really wanted her to have a nice time so even though we looked at other cruise lines, I talked her into Disney. Probably won't meet the single guys like we would on Carnival but oh well. I've been packed since we made the reservations.
The February one was suppose to be my middle daughter's vow renewal. She is in the AF and stationed in Korea. She is coming home in April so she won't be able to come on this cruise.

All the plans had been made when she was going to be in Korea for 2 yrs and wouldn't have a problem getting leave. Well, that all changed when the military decided she was only staying for one year. My son was suppose to go also but he is going in the service and we don't know if he will be able to get leave either. We have extra space in some of the rooms so we can add him at the last minute if he can go. It's going to be my oldest daughter(23), her boyfriend, my cousin, my brother, sister-in-law, best friend, her husband, her son(11), her son (23), her MIL, her FIL. We originally had about 40 people booked and then had people dropping like flies after we found out it wasn't going to be the vow renewal.
What you might want to think about also is that your son might not want to leave the ship. I've read horror stories on this board where parents had excursions booked for themselves and their kids and then the kids got mad because they didn't want to leave the kid's club. I don't know which type your son is but you might want to take that senerio into consideration. My firiend's DMIL and DFIL are going with us. DMIL won't get in the water but is coming on the stingray excursion anyway to enjoy the boat ride, scenary and take pictures. In Grand Caymans you can hire a taxi cab driver to take you to the Turtle Farm (not much walking and you can pick up turtles right out of the tank), Hell (little touristy site) and the Rum cake factory (free samples excellent place to get rum cakes to take home and flavored rums) for about $15. a person. That site I posted earlier has wonderful information about getting around and coupons to use at different sites. Would your MIL enjoy the boat ride and watching your son snorkel? She might enjoy taking the pictures. What is you DH doing that you feel your son is too young for(if you don't mind me asking)? In Cozumel we did the Catamaran Fury snorkel and beach and there were young kids on that. They loved the dancing and music and the beach had a lot for them to do. You can always take the contact numbers recommended on that board I listed and play it by ear with your son. See how he does in the club and if you feel like he will want to leave the boat, use the ship phone and make some reservations or just get off the ship and grab a recommended taxi. We still haven't decided what we are doing in Cozumel but because of what I read on those boards we are going to go to Playa del Carmen to do whatever. We will definitely be at Carlos and Charlies

in the evening. You and DH should plan on joining us there after everyone is tucked in.
