No worries Vicki! I have a feeling by the end of the trip we will all have said something to make each other laugh!! (especially if the Martinis are flowin!!)

I just sent DH to DBF house to pick up another suit case I thought I had everything packed that could be packed, then I noticed the Mt. Everest mountain of shoes in the corner!!
DH says I might as well forget the 15 day EB Repo....I'd need 20 bags!!

Just found this thread. We are also sailing this Saturday, stateroom 6154. My husband has cancer and was just told he has less than six months. so I am hoping to make this cruise the best ever for him.

Lstover- This will be a great cruise for both of you. The islands are gorgeous, the company so far on this board has been pretty entertaining and the two of you spending time together will make for the best vaction. Relax as best you can and enjoy each other.

Welcome LSTOVER! I'm sorry about your DH. I agree, though, that there's no better getaway than a nice, relaxing cruise to get to spend quality time together. The crew takes care of every last detail once you're on the ship and you won't have any other worry in the world!

Trio - Yes, I plan to be at the gathering. How could I not??! After meeting all these great people I couldn't bear to go without matching the screen names to faces. Keeping track will be much easier then! Olivia will look for Alex and the other 11-y-o's.

Ya'll are getting me worried about packing. I, too, have piles of clothes and a stack of incidentals sitting BESIDE my suitcases but am afraid to start loading. Oh, and of course DH hasn't picked out one single thing to take yet. He keeps telling me he'll pack himself but I'm so tempted just to do it now anyhow cuz I'll probably wind up doing it myself Friday night anyhow!

All of you leaving this week...have safe flights and warm, dry weather!! See you Saturday!

what are y'all doing with all of your shampoos and stuff..sunscreen etc.. over the 3 oz carry on allowances?

and...do y'all know the policy of flying with alcohol.. i mean i guess i can call delta..but, didn't know if any of you more traveled could give me the preschool understanding version..

I have sunscreens etc. in baggies (doubled!!) to be checked in with the luggage. You cant take anything over 3 oz. as carry on as you said, but it can be checked. I am daring and have 6 bottles of water packed as well (it's not red wine!!) I have any liquids snuggled in between clothes...
Final luggage count...3 large bags, 1 garment bag and 2 carry ons

I think their are some special allowences for medication??!! Also, when I flew in Nov. all the liquids had to be in plastic baggies (like sandwich bags). Make sure you have an extra handy for hand lotion and sanitizer etc. you may have floating in your purse or carry on!

I told him today if he does well on his Reading and Science test this week I will take him somewhere special on Friday for lunch!!!! I don't what I am more excited about leaving for the trip or telling the kids!

and so.. re: immigration.. we have to go through it in St thomas. and when we get back to pc.. us residents..

Just make sure your....cough medicine
isn't opened. Like if your in your cabin, and you get a hankerin' for a ....cough medicine and coke for instance, you don't want to open it. If you open...your cough medicine you can't take it off the ship.
