I picked up our documents today.......I have a quick question though.......when do you put the luggage tags on the luggage? We are flying in on Wed then staying offsite so I am thinking we put them on after we leave there and head to the port but the documents say something else and I didn't have time to ask my TA. I could call her in the am but I figured I would ask you all first.

Went out to get the paper this morning at 5am and there were our docs between the doors. I heard the bell ring yesterday afternoon opened the door saw no one and closed it. Should have looked down. The only problem is the room # is wrong, will have to call and see if they will resend or if I can use Magic marker.

Then we both are pulled to a thread titled "adult beverages".....

We're going to have a reputation before we meet everyone!!!

(don't worry though...I won't tell them about your wealth of knowledge of the adult beverages on the ship!! It'll be our secret! )

lol and thanks... everyone will just think.. that kim.. she is just always so laid back and happy.. she and tj.. (sorry i tend to call people by their screen names, lol i post on another board regularly (not cruise related) and whenever we all get together the majority of us call each other by our sceen names, when called by our given we get confused or feel as if we are in trouble)... i was cracking up so loud when i saw your post in the uh.. you know the information thread..

I basically hang out on Beat Street every night after the second show. I'll have my green wrist band on and probably a drink in my hand. Can you still buy a mug for discounted draft beer? Kim? Jackie?

And the 70's Boogie, baby!!!!!

One more thing. How many guys are taking Tuxedos for formal night? I have one and can't decide if I should take it.

Tuxedos are awesome. My dh will be wearing prob wearing dress pant, sports coat shirt and tie.. my dsil, in a sport coat or not.. not sure..

question, as soon as i hit the magic i have to beeline to make palo revs.. so.. what deck are the bars on, from what i understand you have to go to one of those to make them onboard..

and also, we ended up booking the excursion on St. Thomas that lasts until 4:00 they promised to have us back at the ship by 4:00 to make sure we don't miss it.. so.. around 5:00 if some of y'all can look off the back of the ship and if there are some people on jetski's following close behind.. throw us a few ropes down okay..

Hi there! My wife and I just booked (kinda last minute) for our anniversary. We live in Orlando, FL so it's very easy to plan a last minute cruise. I thought we were DCL veterans, but after joining the Disboards before our last cruise (11 night Southern Caribbean in September) we feel like rookies reading about other's cruises!! We had a "GTY" when we booked on 1/19/07, and just got our docs yesterday. It's a "metal wall" verandah deck 6 port side, but we'll take it!! Truly, if you stuck me in a broom closet, as long as I'm on the ship I'm happy! Reading posts and looking at pics, looks like it's a slightly larger verandah - 6150, and it will be fun being able to see where we've been looking aft. Plus, we'll just get more exercise standing more as we enjoy those awesome sunrises at sea and fresh sea air instead of sitting all the time!

We were a few staterooms closer to the aft elevators on the last cruise (same deck, same side) and I loved the location. Very easy up the stairs to Deck 9 and even easier down the stairs to Deck 3 or 4.

Glad it's only 10 days. I can't hardly wait for the fun, relaxation, and "Magic" to begin!!

I struggled with it for awhile. Someone from Dis just got back 2 weeks ago. She said they have to share the dolphin and you don't actually swim with them. She said they were in the tank standing on a ledge thing and the dolphins swim by you and you can touch them.

Thanks for the imput! I am also 99% sure about canceling. I think I will just bribe my oldest with money so he doesn't feel disappointed!

Our cruise docs arrived yesterday, as did my Brother In-Law & Sister In-Law, but my Mothing In-law did not get hers. Go figure? But at least I can do the Document Dance!

Our luggage tags are green. I believe that you are to put them on if you are going right from the airport to the ship. If you are going to spend the night at a nearby hotel then you do not want to put them on until that day (or your luggage will be claimed by disney and sent right to the ship).

Welcome Doug & Vikki! Glad you are joining us on the cruise. DH, DD & I are in 6074 so we aren't that far down the hall from you.

My DH is wearing his gray suit. It's nice. If he had a tux I'd be packing it for him. Men always look great in tuxes (at least from a female perspective). I'm planning on wearing a gown/cocktail dress. Anyone else getting dressed up?

My DD6 is much better ( other than her nagging cough) but right now I am so mad at my DS11 b/c when he was going to a friends house I told him NOT to play in the snow (don't want anybody else getting sick). Did he listen....NO!!!!!! When he came home he was soaking wet!!!!!! So not only did he disobey me, he played in the snow w/o his snow stuff on!!!!!!!!!!! I was beyond angry!! Well guess who has a running nose now?????

zicam rules.. i've been pumping up Chan's vitamins.. and we are all over that virus.. from last week.. she keeps wanting to go outside in the afternoons after school.. but, i just say cruise.. and she is like "oh yeah".. if it's over 50 with no wind i let her for a while..

BTW I just turned 40 on Pearl Harbor Day, and will be celebrating too! Unfortunately though I think my little ones will be to tired for babysitting and oceaneers club to meet up Wed night So, we will be drinking on the verandah...

Called TA (AAA) and she is expecting our cruise docs today....I'm patiently waiting....

Can anyone confirm when and where to make Palo Res. once on board?? Disney one rep said Beat STreet and the next one I spoke to said Rockin D Bar

It has been too long since I have posted. We were lucky enough to get back yesterday from a long weekend at the DVC resort in Vero Beach to find our cruise documents waiting for us !!

For the DISBoard List, we are staying at the Wingate Inn at the Orlando Airport Friday Night (we don't get in until 10:00-pm). We will be getting to and from the port using rental cars (Budget, they were nice and easy last time). We will try to make the 3:00-pm meet.

Princesstrio - We are from Butler (there seem to be a lot of Western Pennsylvanians on the cruise). We will have our DD8 and DD15 on the cruise, it sounds like there will be plenty of kids.

Tjeagle - Lily is looking forward to meeting your daughter at the meet. Me and DW will stop by the Birthday party. It is also DW's birthday, we are having dinner at Palo that night and were going to probably go to a club that night.

Okwmember - We are also cruising on points so I imagine we will also see you at the DVC Meet (I assume that they still have them on the 7 night cruises).

We filled out our cruise documents on-line, does anyone know how much of the paper documents we need to complete, the contract only ?

Hi all -

It's been a busy morning on the board. Hard to keep up, but what can I remember? Umm...

DH is wearing a suit on formal night, I'm wearing ??? Yeah, I'm still working on that! What the heck, I have a week to get it together!

Both kids and I have a scratchy throat this morning. UGH! Keep your fingers crossed for us! I'm pumping the vitamin C!

We're not celebrating any b'days while on board, but we're children of the 80s and we love an adult beverage or two (or more!) so we're in for Wed. night!

Oh yeah...and a week from now at this time, we'll be driving to the airport to go to WDW!

I'm pushing 40 in March, so I guess I'll be clinging to my last vestiges of youth on this cruise with the lushes.

The DME yellow luggage tags were apparently sent separately to us in the mail. Hopefully we'll get them before we head to WDW before the cruise.
