Yes, I too am a DVC owner, my DD(22) and we are actually using our points for this cruise. Only booked a cat 9 on 2nd deck. This will be our 3rd cruise, but first as DVC members. This will be very different from the 4 night, after a 7 night you won't want to go back to a 4 or 3 because you will feel it is to short. St M and St T are wonderful. But I do like CC because of the pure simple relaxation. Even though we took two prior cruises our first on Feb of 2005 same week as this trip, we were unable to dock at the island due to high seas and winds. Second year in first full week of Jan 2006 we made it in it was beautiful and very warm. We can't wait for CC again, I hope weather will let us in again.

We are also DVC owners and are using points along with $ for this cruise. We went on the 3 night cruise last Jan and loved it so much we wanted to do a 7 night. Keep this up and we are going to need more DVC points.

One question: we have an excursion in the morning at St. Marteen that returns sometime around noon. Has anyone gotten back on the ship, had lunch, and then gone to a beach for the afternoon? It looks to me like you would have plenty of time, but wanted to make sure.

2 months exactly today!! Tomorrow....we sail LESS THAN 2 months away!!!

Anyone have thoughts on a meet time or place?? I'd love to meet up with anyone staying at the Radisson on Friday night! What time do you all get in?? We should be there sometime that afternoon.

Triple L- We were just on a royal caribbean cruise to St T and St M. When we were in St M we shopped during the morning and then went back to the ship, had lunch and then went out to Divi beach. We had plenty of time. It was great and we had alot of fun. If you are running short on time, there is also a nice beach right in downtown where the shopping is, it looks like a lot of fun.

Tjeagle-As for the meet, we will not be at the Radison on friday, but would love to meet on the ship. I'm not familiar with this ship, so I'm up for suggestions.

Hello to all. We'll be joining you all on Feb 3rd - our very first Disney cruise! This entire trip is a christmas gift for our kids (all girls, 12, 10 & 6) and we have been keeping it a secret since last February. Only 22 days of silence to go. We have 1 week in WDW (staying at Old Key West on an exchange with DVC) before the cruise. We're just too excited to be making our first trip to Disneyworld.

Does anyone have a brilliant idea on how to present this to the kids? We're thinking some sort of treasure hunt that leads to a revealing. I bought personalized M&M's that say the date and Disney World on them. We have the DCL promotional DVD... is there anything else that would just make it all perfect? I'd love your input. Disney Wishes is the perfect theme for our first trip.

Actually, any input would be great. We have the Passporter books for the parks and the cruise. Any suggestions on websites to research the islands we're going to? We have not booked any excursions yet - suggestions?

Hello and Welcome Laura!

You found the best place on information concerning WDW and DCL. Just spend multiple hours exploring and I have now learned to keep a pad beside me to write things down as I go.
Also, we are surprising our daughter with this cruise as well and giving it to her for Christmas. We are still deciding on how best to do this. We have a box hidden with things needed on the cruise....2 new bathing suits, pirate costume, sun tan lotion etc.
I am interested on any ideas as well. I have read a thread on this board somewhere (didnt take notes) about ideas concerning surprising children

WOW! 59 days, that seems like it's right around the corner. December will really fly by with all the shopping and Xmas parties. It's been a pretty warm winter up here so far. Just got our first taste of cold weather - brrrrrr Hope it snows like crazy the two weeks we're away. Happy holidays everyone. Hope Santa fills all your wishes!!!

Our DD is 8 months and 2 days pregnant, we're hoping for a 2006 baby boy, this cruise will be our last 4 awhile as we are the baby sitters. We will book a family cruise for jan 4th 2008. The last family DCL cruise was 2003. 2004 we had a her wedding in Mexico, 2005 was WLV for a week and 2006 was our Alaska cruise, 2007 will be August on the Crown Princess. December will go very fast

Lots of pictures. Wife had an operation 5 weeks ago and it's been a slow recovery. Had a retirement dinner for tonight from 4:30 to 6:30. A doctor appointment at 1:45 and we went to a book store till the dinner. She was exhausted when we got home. Hopefully she'll get to the gym next week and get into shape for the cruise.
