Our trip is planned for Feb. 7-13, 2005. We haven't been to WDW at this time for many years. Just wondering about crowds, whether I need to make PSs for every meal, etc. Thanks for your help. I just realized we'll be there in about 40 days, so I'm in hyper-planning mode! :earseek:

I think you'll be fine. I wouldn't make PSs for every meal, just the ones you really want to go to, just to be safe.

February is typically off-season, except for President's Day weekend. We were there for President's Day 04, oh my... very crowded!! But the Friday we arrived (we were there for the 4 day weekend...) wasn't bad at all! Hope this helps!

In 2003 we did almost the exact same days. We arrived 2/8 and stayed through 2/15. We left the Saturday of President's Day weekend. We never expierenced any real crowds. We did see the masses beginning to arrive the night before we left. Up until that point though it was really great.
Most rides were walk ons. We didn't even need to FP things like TOT in the middle of the day. DH and I still agree it was overall one of our best trips ever!!! The weather was alittle on the cool side. Perfect for touring the parks, not great if you wanna swim. It barely reached 70 most days. However, we didn't see a drop of rain the entire trip. We did have to wear long pants and sweatshirts most of the trip though.

Love what I hear. Kids might be a little disappointed with no real swimming weather, but I don't think they'll get as tired touring. Besides, we live near Lake Michigan (lake effect snow), so if it's warmer in Disney than at home, they will probably be in the pool.

The only crowds in February are during President's Week. Otherwise its a ghost town.

You will be among many southern Louisianians who are escaping Mardi Gras...you'll know them by the purple, green and gold they are wearing. Even so, the crowds are still very low.

You never know that time of year. We've been twice (Jan) and both times we were in shorts half the time and were able to hit a water park (hit the 80s). Its very hit and miss and varies from week to week, day to day. We go Feb 9-19, fingers are crossed for warm weather. :)

I'm from LA, will be at WDW, but will not be wearing purple, green, and gold---trying to GET AWAY from it :p!!! I'm glad to hear that you anticipate the crowds to be low during Mardi Gras week in '05--DH and I hate crowds.
