Feb. 9th 2002 Trip Day 3
Some background:
Myself-40 something Disney nut hence my DIS name nutz4dzny!
DH- 40 something also feels the same as me!
Our 30th trip! 4th time BC Concierge! Also celebrating my birthday at V & A Chef's Table!
Our dear friends also came along,
Tom-His 4th trip but never with a Disney Expert! LOLOLOL!!! Also celebrating his birthday!
Kathy-his lovely wife
We stayed at the BC Concierge.
Today was Saturday. Here is a Link to Previous Trip Report.
Day 2
The Temp. was going up to 75 Degrees and Sunny! Yeah!!!! We all decided to sleep in since yesterday was so exhasting! The guys got up to run on the Boardwalk around 8 AM and Kathy and I went to breakfast at the BC Concierge around 7:30.
We walked over to EPCOT around 10 AM and went to go on TT. Single Line no wait went on 3 times! They loved it! We then went to visit the Annual Passholders Lounge at THE LAND. Wow! Very nice. I took tons of Pics and will Post them very soon. Did all the Land and then over to HISTA and then to Ice-Cool Station where I tricked them into trying Beverly! I know....I am not very nice.......However they laughed and said YUCK at the same time! We then got our Picture taken at Innoventions from Xerox and decided to go back to BC and swim in their great pool!
I did purchase 2 Connections Vouchers for B & C so we got changed and then went to eat! The guys used the vouchers and Kathy and I shared theirs. We both had the Ceaser Salad as the appetizers and they had Double Cheeseburgers with fires and we shared the fries and ice-tea and sodas. Then for dessert we did it.....WE HAD THE KITCHEN SINK!!! I don't eat ice-cream so I just took a small bite but I have to tell you, they did quite a job on it! Again I took Pics!
We then waddled over to the Hot tub and went swimming etc. What a beautiful day! The water was warm enough to swim without getting chilled! My sister and her husband met us at the pool and we visited for quite a while. We then went to get changed for Wine and appetizers in the Concierge Lounge. After relaxing there we made our way to the AKL for dinner at Jiko's. 8 PM PS. We got to the AKL at 6:30 PM, we drove, we never use Disney transportation since we always rent a car/van etc. It is much quicker!
Tom & Kathy had nver seen the AKL so we took them all around and then got a CM to take us up to the Concierge. We still prefer the BC cozy atmosphere over the open Concierge's such as AKL and GF. After seeing everything we got seated for dinner and had a WONDERFUL meal. I will Post more on the restaurant review Boards later! After dinner we decided to go to PI for some fun!
They had never been to The Adventurers's Club so we did that. What fun! Then to the 70's Club and then to Mannequin's and we laughed and really had a good time. Since it was Mardi Gras they were throwing tons of beads and our DH's caught us a bunch! We stayed for the New Years Clebration and finally made it back to the BC by 12:30 AM. ANother Perfect day.....Is there any other in Disney???? LOLOLOL!
