Feb. 7 Cruisers - Did you see the Shuttle Launch?

Calling all Feb. 7th cruisers.

Did you see the Shuttle launch from the ship? Did DCL provide any sort of countdown clock? And finally, did everyone applaud?

Please use this thread to describe your experience with the shuttle launch.

Yes we saw it!!! The Disney staff had it live on the big screen TV by the pools and we were on deck 10 with a perfect view. I got some great pictures! It was really amazing-a once in a lifetime event. This was our 3rd cruise and I wouldn't do a 3 night again-way too short!!

It really was one of the highlights of our vacation. That a.m. they were saying possible weather problems, so we weren't sure it would happen. We also heard of the possibility of big traffic delays heading to PC but we didn't encounter any problems and got there around 1:00.

Like the previous poster stated, the jumbo-tron had the live news feed, so you could watch that until the blastoff - everyone counted down to 10 and lots of cheering as it took off.

I was surprised how "long" the fire trail was behind it -we watched until it was out of our sight, and then watched the video feed for several more minutes.

It really was a great experience, and it gave me chill bumps to watch it!

I was on the cruise back in december when it was originnaly suppossed to lauch. I was devasted I didnt see it. I have waited my entire life to see it. One day My dream will come true.
