If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I know I had tons of questions when I cruised for the first time. I think you will LOVE cruising and LOVE DCL! I love the parks too, but cruising is just a different kind of vacation and not quite as tiring as the parks.

So I managed to get in on the Cat12 GTY cabin, since we were just booked for Cat11 anyway...there's a $200 bonus, plus the chance to end up in any other type of cabin.

I will assume it's "normal," but make sure you let us know when your cabin assignments come in! I'm already checking ours!

We usually do gty cabins. The room assignments seem to come in about 4 weeks prior to sailing. You can keep checking, but I'd guess that you'll get the exact room number assigned in January.

Bama-mom- we'll be celebrating DH's 40th on ths hip- however his bday is on the 6th, the day before we sail

I have found that there are more DISers on the 7 night cruises (at least that has been the case for the cruise meet threads that I've been involved in). I think we may see more with the kids sail free promo. I've been busy with the cruise meets thread for our November 7-night cruise.

Southwest finally opened up their February schedule today, but the prices are higher than what I was hoping for. I'm trying to be patient until I can get good airfare, but don't want to wait too long and get stuck with even higher fares. I wish the airlines could all be like Southwest and not charge a change fee. We are hoping for Delta, but their fares are high too. And, the flights that I want went up over $100 each last Friday--hopefully they will go back down. We booked early for our November trip and if we would have waited we would have gotten better flights for a better price--sometimes I hate the airfare game.

I have not used this forum for a few yrs and firatly cannot find where I enter to key a new post...and secondly I just wanted to ask for directions to the forum for planning a trip to WDW Florida....I did find a forum but it seemed all the posters were american, yet I want tips on booking etc here in UK.

Yay!!! I finally booked our airfare today--something I've been wanting to do since May. The price was still a little more than I wanted to pay, but it has been fluctuating a lot lately and finally came down to a normal range. I told DH last week that if it dropped this week I was booking it, so I did. I was just worried that the price was just going to go up because of the Super Bowl in Miami and then President's Day after the cruise. Now I feel like this trip is official. I'm so excited for November to come. We're bringing our niece along and she doesn't know about the trip--she gets to find out for her birthday in November. DH keeps talking about DCL to her, but she has NO IDEA that she'll get to come along. In just 151 days we'll all be on the Wonder.

Count us in, we booked for a B2B Feb 4th(3nt) and Feb 7th(4nt), we've never done a b2b before so any tips would be great. Will it be really disruptive? This is our 2nd time on the cruise. Ou 1st was a 3nt in March. We will have a 10 yr old boy and 6(almost 7)yr old boy.

Welcome! I haven't done a B2B before, but it sure sounds fun. 2 stops at Castaway Cay, 2 times to try out food on each menu, 2 nights to choose from the shows. I think it would be nice to not feel like you have to do everything the first time because you'll have 2 chances to do most things. Are you in the same room for both? If so, you get to leave your stuff on the ship and you do have to get off, but not for too long.
