Feb. 7, 2008 3 night wonder...Anyone???

DisneyBride suggested to take Disney's Bus from the port to AKV. $35 per person.

I don't think I will do the fish extender this time, I have too much on my plate already.

7:30pm sounds good, the Hercules show starts at 8:30pm, we can all meet and then go to the show afterward.

With the show starting at 8.30, could consider a 7pm meeting - not sure what people think time wise . . .

The offer is there if you need it . . .(transport to AKV)

Do you have early or late dining? We have late, and so we watch the show before dinner...I believe its a 6 or 6:30 start...So this will not work for us, also, you probably will not be finished with dinner if you have a 6 or 6:15 dining rotation...Just a heads up!

We have main dining seating, what do the rest of of you have? Maybe we should update DisneyBride's list with this info too.

We are late...I liked this much better, didnt feel rushed to get to dinner! On our first cruise, we had late, and really wanted early, so the next cruise we had early, and it was ok, but we felt rushed to get to dinner and then to watch the show!

Ok TInks and M2PK....our vet cruisers.....a meeting place for everyone?? We have main seating as well.....what abt BEFORE the sail away party? A quick hello etc...then at least we will have met and know what we l@@k like!! lol

Tinks, however we are soo close here at home, what Target to you frequent?? lol...We may have bumped into one another...j/k..I go to the one in Lemont....However, I want to go to Woodfield and get some more pins etc!

so London Couple that is great to offer the ride to TLPL:)

No room for 5 ??? lol

Finally08...will make a new post with all the fish extender info...so no one will miss out on goodies:)

Since Tinks started the thread, she I think, has the capacity to put it on the first page?? SO we can all find it easier, not sure....Or I can pm everyone who is involved....cant wait to see what mine looks like....DH will just shake his head....

Quick funny story....yesterday DD10 had in her school folder a hand out from Market Day abt a promo to win a free trip to WDW...at first I am like yahoo..and then I said...oh, we wont enter, let another family win....kidding, and she felt my forehead and asked if I was feeling ok!! lol I thought it was funny!!

Anyone having anything in their stateroom upon arrival? Since we cancelled our Exotic Rasul....we are doing the Bob Voyage...Iron Horse Cuvee with the desserts and a bottle fo sparkiling cider for the kids....I love the Iron Horse...we had that the day we got married....I meant Bon...lol...Bob is my husband!
Ok I had too much coffee this morning...
have a great day everyone..

So how about the evening 7.30/8pm ish by the main shopping place??? Can then go to bar or something??? What do people think???

We'd love to meet some folks too, but bars are out. We're cruising with two little ones, and I plan to spend time with them. :thumbsup2

Is the majority of this group cruising without kids (or with older ones)? I was hoping someone else would have some little ones.

I think I may have the youngest...Miss Ava Grace will be 19 mths old...she plays like she is 3 though! We are planning on taking her to the Oceaneers Club to ler her play (of course we have to stay there:) ) Then DD10 and DS14..

Perhaps do 2 meets....or is there somewhere on deck, like a certain area....and we can go there for the Sail Away party..and at least be in the same area....I am sure we will rub elbows.....just an idea...
No One has a suite we can meet in????? lol

We have a little one age 4 and 2 older ones ages 9 and 11, but they love the kids club so much that they cry when we pick them up, so a bar is doable for us, just not every night!

My oldest (11) will be ok to leave, but my 3 y/o isnt 100% potty functional where I can leave her. She has good control and stays in undies in the house, but can't dress/undress herself and would have an accident if she couldn't get undressed in time! Luckily at daycare they help them with the potty, I've read here that on the boat they can't do that.

DB...I have sorta updated page 1 with the info I have...If you have anything that I can add, please PM me or post it here and I will update it...I need to know cabin #'s if people are going to participate in the fish extender, # of cruisers, and what seating for dining early or late!

As far as the meet goes, what if we did like right before the sail away party at the mickey pool area, or we could do deck 10? Say 4:30 or so? Its an idea!

Our 3 yo was like that on the last cruise, and she decided that she had no problems after we told her that she couldnt stay in the kids club if she had an accident, and that she would have to come back with us! We didnt want her to feel that she had to stay, either, we planned that she was going to be with us, she had never been to a daycare before, and she did great! Loved every minute of the club! Still talks about when can she go back and see her friends at the clubhouse! She wanted to stay so bad that she was able to manage clothes, but also we bought elastic cotton shorts and pants that were loose, so she could handle easier!

I was very happy to see this thread. We decided last week to try this cruise for the second half of our 5 year anniversary trip. We are so very excited as this will be our first cruise!!

We'll be without kids (2, 3, and 4 years old) as they will be staying home with Grandma so Mom and Dad can finally have a trip alone again.

It sounds like it will be a lot of fun!! Can't wait to possibly meet some of you and to experience Disney cruising. It is almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Can't tell I'm excited, huh? :)

Hmm, anyone have a general head count on gifts for the fish extenders? And will we just take turns doing them one night? I'm trying to order the rest of my goodies, and need to make sure I get enough!
Also, we are a party of 4, but really if anyone leaves anything in ours you can just do it for the 2 kids (11 & 3), dh and I don't need anything, because I know we might end up with a lot of people to gift. :)

Yeah why don't we just all meet at the sail away party since we will pretty much all going to be there, one of the DVC vets can pick a good spot around the area where the party will take place and we all just bring our family there. That way we don't have to leave our family behind and we can meet each others at the same time. With music and dance it will be less formal and more fun. We can decide to go do other things together if we hit it off.

Hi Tink, I think having the kids' age and mention any special occasion would be nice too.

We have 3 room 8 people, all on deck 6, nephew 16 and niece (birthday girl) 10.

This is all moving so quick!! lol:happytv:
Remember we are in a different time zone so just can't keep up:banana:

well I have to say meet at sail away is a great idea - why didn't I think of that one???? Just pick a place there and we will be there as well then, we know what a few look like and will meet some before the cruise anyway!!!!

We are taking part in Fish Extender - Me Jon and DG - Kirsty.

Everyone will know what we have got it has England on it!!! lol:woohoo: :woohoo:

We do not have room number but our fish extender will have 'The London Couple' on it!!!

I got another idea!! Why not someone make up a flag/fish extender or something to identify the meeting spot, post a picture of it here so we all know what it will looks like. And on that day we can just look for the flag to find out where we should meet.
