CHEATER!! I guess I didnt! It was supposed to take longer then that for everyone to get a few.
I guess I will have to add that disclaimer from now on!! ;) Or at least hold your answers until the next question is posted? Maybe Ill do that next time

O.K., a few days went by and poof! I fell out of the disboard scene! I'm baacckk! Here are my answers...
What do you consider lucky? I don't really ever consider myself as "lucky". I'd probably go with fortunate. Have never had a "good luck" charm (except remember the 'rabbit's foot' that were popular back in the 60's/70's - ew! we now have rabbits). I do believe that things happen for a reason, is luck involved?Don't really believe so. However, whenever I've been at a casino, I would say I'm NOT lucky!

Must have beauty products: just my usual make-up. Sad to say, I haven't even heard of most of the products mentioned above!

Who/what are you leaving behind:
Spot and Button our mini-Rex Bunnies
Mojo and Keeda our Bearded Dragons (Beardies)
Sebastian our Fancy-Fin Goldfish
A lot of cold, icy, slushy weather

Anything we've done differently in planning our vacation?
Nope. In terms of safety, our kids are old enough to talk with about safety and we will do so as we get closer to the cruise. I'm with the others who said now is probably a good time to cruise with cruise staff/officers being quite aware of safety issues.

FE Prepping - crafting or purchasing - a little of both. Had high-hopes of making our own FE. Remember back when Krilper and I posted on this board back in October? High hopes I tell you. Anyway, bought it. Semi-home made, homemade and purchased gifts. It's all coming together and I'm quite excited!

Leaving technology behind... fine with me! You'll all be on the cruise so I won't get so behind on this board! FB.... I'll miss keeping up with everyone. Email -- glad I won't see it as there are too many projects I'm involved in that are happening right now and when we get back. So, the break from all the emails is a welcome break. However, that means a lot of email to come home to.:sad1:

Prep for cruise: Well, I was doing really well with my Biggest Loser competition I joined at my kids' school (staff and some moms). Then we had company for a total of four weeks and a trip to Hawaii and that all went by the wayside (or weigh-side!). My work-out regime halted. Trying to get back on track. Other than that... my biggest preparation is related to the Fish Extender and filling in the blanks when it comes to clothes for the kids (and maybe a few things for me and Steve).

Our schedule: Don't want to miss a memory! Up and at 'em early enough, full day, fun night, sleep.

Shopping in Mexico -- haven't even thought about that yet. Kids love getting souveneirs... so that's a must!

Whew! I feel like the night I stayed up answering the first 30 questions!!!!

It's getting close and we are all getting so excited!

Have a great weekend y'all!
Lisa

qotd - not even thought about shopping yet - probably just a few souvenirs though

I want to get vanilla extract too, let the board know what you find that is good. Do you know if there are food/bev. restrictions bringing stuff back on board, or back through customs?

I don't know the restrictions but I do remember my mom bringing back quart size bottles of vanilla extract a number of years ago!

Question of the Day: Saturday, January 21

Are you looking forward to any shopping in Mexico?

I'm definitely going to try to get my hands on some vanilla beans. I've also been on Chow Hound looking up recommended brands of Mexican vanilla extract. I may also purchase some Mexican Coca Cola in the glass bottles if it is ridiculously cheap. There's also some coconut candy or cookie that I saw on someone's TR that I'm going to attempt to track down. Ha ha, most likely food products will be purchased.

Oh please share what you are finding on recommended brands! I had vanilla extract in mind as the main item to get from Mexico.

Good Morning fellow cruisers! We now have only

Question of the Day: Friday, January 20

Will you be keeping your regularly scheduled programming? Are you going to rise early to take advantage of all that the ship offers? Will you be sleeping in because, after all, what is a vaca for? Will you rise as your usual circadian rhythm dictates?

This is our vacation, so we'll take it as it comes. :cloud9: We'll definitely be going over the Navigator the night before, to see what activities we want to do. So, I suppose some days we'll be up and at em, other days we'll enjoy leisure mornings in our room. :teeth: On our last cruise, we had several mornings when we ordered room service, Jack and I enjoyed coffee on the veranda, while the boys watched a movie. popcorn:: LOVE all the movies they show on TV!! :happytv:

Question of the Day: Saturday, January 21

Are you looking forward to any shopping in Mexico?

Vanilla is a big thing in our family. Whenever me, my sister or my parents go to Mexico, we always grab some for the whole family. So, vanilla is a MUST get while we're in Mexico. I always like to get vanilla beans as well (SO good in homemade ice cream!) Jack likes to try different tequilas and typically brings home something new. That's about it!

I am just back from a work trip that took me to Fresco, CA for a couple of days. The travel was NIGHTMARISH :eek:so I am praying I got all the bad travel luck out of my system before we travel as a family! I was supposed to be home Friday night before midnight but managed to get home at 2:00pm Saturday afternoon without my luggage!!:sad2:

All I can say is vacation cannot come soon enough!!:banana::banana:
(Yes, the dancing banana is my favorite emoticon!)

Question of the Day: Sunday, January 22

Who is planning on booking another cruise on board to take advantage of the bonuses offered? Do you know which cruise you plan on booking?

We're hoping to have a dragon baby, so our schedule is in flux. We're planning on booking a dummy cruise. We're also interested to see what cruises will be announced in the near future. We're hoping to see more cruises out of LA. I don't think we're quite ready to travel far with young children. We're going to save those Bahamian cruises for when they're older.
