Feb 4, 2007 Wonder cruise

Ok let the packing begin!! I have the kids summer clothes ready to go but I am not sure how much winter clothes to bring. We will be staying in Disney after the cruise does anyone have any idea what the weather will be like?? I am really hoping for shorts and t-shirts during the day and only having to wear pants and sweatshirts at night. I don't want to have a ridiculous amount of clothes like last year and I ended up paying $100.00 at the airport because my suitcase was way over the weight limit. My husband was not a happy camper. Someone said that there is no formal night on the 3 and 4 day cruises. Is this true?? SO many questions:confused3

There was a formal night on our cruise last year. The dress rotation was:
Sunday - Cruise Casual
Monday - Formal Dress-Up Night
Tuesday - Tropical or Pirate
Wednesday - Cruise Casual

Try the links in my post above this one for some weather information.

I live in Tampa and even though it is going to be rainy the next couple of days it is still shorts during the day. Id you email me closer to when you are leaving, I can let you know.

Thanks everyone for the info! I guess I will continue to watch the weather as we get closer. Florida is always warmer than NJ so that works for me!! Hope everyone else gets their cruise Docs soon!! :thumbsup2

That weather site was very depressing! 40% chance of rain on my MGM day and my Magic Kingdom Day! I have done way too much planning for that to happen! Please - someone - tell me it is not so!!!!

Congrats on the upgrade!! We are in a Cat. 9 but no upgrade yet. We had a balcony on our last cruise and we loved it but since we are using our DVC points we did not have enough points for a balcony. I have not gotten my documents either. I also did online check in but I still need my luggage tags and Disney transfers.
I'm really hoping we can get one. We'll take our chances.

We got our docs yesterday!:cool1:

You just need the Bahamas immigration forms and the luggage tags...
Cool Thank you:goodvibes

Our cruise docs came in on Tuesday!

Here's two weather sites that might be of interest:

OH thanks for posting that. I sure hope it doesn't rain on us!

We're in stateroom 2588 for now.. hopefully we can upgrade at the port.

My docs came today! :cool1: Now it really seems real. I am just now packing. I feel like I am so behind. :rotfl: Can't wait. Hope everyone is doing well.

9 More Days till We leave for Disney!

I can't wait to spend my entire weekend packing!! I'm so excited!

It snowed all night long here last night. I'm ready for some Castaway Cay Sand and sun!

Same here! are you getting more tonight? I know Cleveland sure is:sad2: I can't wait for Castaway Cay:cloud9: we're leaving in 5 days!:dance3: :cheer2:   :cheer2: :dance3: I can hardly take it! I'm about packed. I can't wait we'll all be on board the Wonder so soon!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

we (16 of us all ages) are going on the wonder feb 1st 2007, 1st cruise could use some advise

I can tell that you are a guy for sure Jrsy Boy (although the name certainly would have indicated that anyways). What you are supposed to do is wear comfortable - but not loose bottoms. That way you can eat - but not overeat without your buttons telling you to STOP. We all need a little reminder sometimes.

Speaking of overeating, does anyone know if the Wonder is equipped with spinning bikes? Also, are there group fitness classes?

There are aerobics and yoga classes. I don't remember seeing spinning bikes when we were there last January, but the exercise area was expanded a few months ago when the Wonder was drydocked for refurbishment. There are some posts below about spinning classes on the Magic, so hopefully the Wonder has them too.

Thanks for the info. I actually e-mailed Disney directly to make the spinning inquiry and all they responded was to "check in the fitness centre when I board the ship". I thought that this was a pretty lame reply. Shouldn't they know if they offer spin classes or not?! Oh well, I hope they do - with all of the food on the boat I will certainly need it!!!

We had some heavy snowfall in the afternoon yesterday but it's stopped now. Just really cold! Hard to believe we'll be in swimsuits next week. We're leaving here on wednesday morning. Praying we don't get another snowstorm.

Well it is snowy, cold and icy where I am!

I have another question for all of you more experienced cruisers:

We have booked Palo reservation for 7:30 pm on our last night (Wed.). Our regular sitting for dinner is at 8 pm so clearly we cannot take the kids to dine and then go to Palo. Is our best plan to take the kids for dinner to one of the other more "fast food" places for dinner around 6 pm, and then drop them off at their kids' programs while we go to Palo? How late do the kids' programs run? And what options do I have on the boat for getting them a dinner at 6 pm? Thanks.

As I understand it the kids can eat with the kids program. If not the Pluto place is the place that serves pizza and burgers. You could also order room service.

5 MORE DAYS TILL WE LEAVE EVERYONE :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Is everyone getting ready. I am sure excited is not even enough to say how we all feel.

We still have not received our cruise documents yet. Tracking them via DHL and hopefully sometime today they will be here.

Has anyone thought of a meeting place. How about the sail away party. We can pick a general place on deck. Everyone seems to be coming to the port at different times. We hope to be there by 10am and in the first group to board.

Any thoughts?
