Steph--I love the starfish!!!!

Did you find him/her in the water at the adult beach. Maybe next time I will make it over there. Carsyn just didn't want to go to club (I lie...she did at 3:45 when we were LEAVING!) and Bret and I weren't going to make her.

Thanks, Tara! yes, the star fish was over at the adult beach. The beach there is so shallow that you can walk Waaaay out but need swim shoes as there is lots of rocks, shells, star fish, etc. It was so quite over there..almost too quite The bbq lunch was good, too. They had fresh steak sandwhichs with the bbq salsa. Yummmmmy!!

I am so jealous that your going back in July! I wanna go too. What day are you all thinking of doing? we leave for Hawaii March 18 and I not as excited as I would be if it was a DCL cruise. Crazy, huh? hehehehe!

Hawaii sounds great!! We have been hearing rumors about a disney cruise or resort there.

I have priced other cruises and have not been able to find one for what we paid for this one.

DVC is building a resort there- I think it's due 2011 maybe. It's been rumored for a while, but we got the official announcement in our last DVC newsletter. We are soooo excited! Being able to use my DVC there for the accommodations will save us a huge amount-otherwise we'd probably never go!! You gotta figure that they'll have tons of stuff to do at the resort in itself. Now I just gotta start saving up for the airfare!

We just booked another 4 day for June. And it's more than double the cost of our 2/3 one! It kills me to "waste" the points, but we just added onto our DVC and have some "bonus" points that have to be used before next Feb. and we would love to have another little sailor by then, so I can't wait and chance losing my points....no way....we'll just have to sail sooner! So we're on for the 4 day 6/29 double dipper if anyone's interested! So far there is only 2 other people on the thread- hopefully we can get some more action before then- I loved looking forward to it with all of you! Plus, after the great magnet displays that you all helped to build, I don't think my kids can ever do a cruise without it! They loved it! We also are booked for Tortula in 2009- HELP.....I have cruiseitis!!!! Is there therapy for this?

Yeah-tell me about it! The only reason we are doing it is because we have to do it before next Feb 1 or we lose those points. It kills me though because it's costing us twice as much in DVC points as a "moderate" time would! BUT it is getting me back on that boat sooner than I thought so......

I wasn't on the DIS on my other cruises, but I hope my new fellow cruisers are as enthusiastic as our "Krewe" was!



Good luck Tara on that cruise booking- I went through a new travel agent that was referred to me by one of my fellow Tortula sailors. She had a price slightly lower than the DCL website and Travelocity, Plus, I got $200 OBC per room!!! Even for the three and four days, she was going to give us $150OBC per room! That's about the best OBC I've seen out there (outside of booking while onboard, but FYI for future, if you book onboard and than transfer the ressie to her, she'll let you keep that AND add hers to it!!!). If you want the name, I can PM you. Steph- if you guys want it to look into for your sis cruise, let me know too! Cruises are so expensive, so I love to share when I actually find a decent deal!!

I didn't see you guys after the party.....I felt bad that I didn't make more effort to find and get together more, but it seemed like I had so much going on. Today, I was thinking about how I spent 3-4 hours just running around onboard on the day at sea- laying out, going down to put in laundry, back up to deck to lay out, back down to switch to dryers, over to check on kids, back up to deck, back down to get out laundry....what a waste! I don't know what I was thinking-just lay down and enjoy the sun! It kind of seems like much of my time was spent on "stuff" and I didn't just enjoy. That's one of the reasons that I'm so glad we're going back- I can do it right this time! I can't even figure out what happened because I've done the cruise before and never felt that way. Maybe because the kids were older (not to mention DD6 was sick the first day)? Oh well, still had a wonderful time, just wish it hadn't passed by so quickly.
