Tara, I'm not bragging cause I am leaving this morning to Disney going because I am bringing something wonderful back for you guys and you can come visit me here in Calif & we can have girls night out at Disneyland!!

Shawn: Yes, we have annual passes and trying to get my $$$ worth I am sending you lots of for safe and uncomplicated trip home.

Brets cousin is moving to California this summer! We were planning on going to see them just so we could go to Disneyland. Bret won't go all the way to california just to see Disney. But he might go to see cousin and you! LOL
We will keep our finger on him. I know he would rather let me go alone than come with...so don't make promises you can't keep Steph!

I can handle ten of each. Made 11 just to be sure. I was afraid more would sign up yesterday.

We can difinately make 700!! I make sure to check the boards every morning and every night. DH is starting to tease me as I put things together and he realizes everything that I am doing. I told him if it bothers him I can easily find someone who would not mind taking his place on the ship. He always thinks I go overboard with planning for Disney, but he also knows that he reaps the benefits!

BTW Tara, you will be on the Wonder in less that 2 weeks!!

I am washing clothes today. What a way to spend a day off school huh! I have my clothes almost all done. I have them folded and in the suitcase, but I will take them all out and iron them before we go.

I am still going round and round about the carry ons though. Two weeks from today I will be in Nassau just finishing up a tour of the city! YIKES

Just 9 days till we leave!!!

I started laying out all the stuff we need to bring today. I was hoping for just 2 suitcases but I am not sure that is possible. As cold as it has been around here lately, it feels good just to have summer stuff out!

docandfamily here, (or at least Janet for now), and impatiently waiting to be on board for our 1st ever anykind of cruise!!! Been there and done that many times to WDW-I think its my DD4's 13th trip! (Hey, and that's not bragging you hear- just me reveling in our good fortune and of course, my farsight to go the way of DVC ownership!! Thank you, honey, for eventually agreeing). Of course, she's been going since she was 10 weeks. Because the cruise thing is so new for us, and being the control freak that I am, I am a little more stressed than usual.
Anyway, sorry for not joining in sooner. We were actually at the World just before Christmas with my husband's family and it seems I have not caught up from the holidays yet. Now we're back on schedule with the kiddies activities and school and it seems everyone of us is either getting over something or just catching something I guess better now to get it our of the way!
My other mission has just been completed. Just now finished reading all 42 pages and I can't wait to meet y'all. Did not respond to little surveys, but will try to do this and do my part to help the post count. You sound like an awesome bunch and I feel like the "mother ship" has found me. No one better to talk to than a Disneyholic- yes, my name is Janet and I have this addiction- one for which I intend to keep feeding! For the kids, you know.
Hope everyone is well. Sorry to hear of the illnesses and troubles. Happy to hear improvements being made. Tara, thank you for the time and trouble to get and keep this all going. You guys made for some fun reading! Shawn, thank you for your service and praying for your safe return. Or, are you back yet? I wasn't following the dates so much as I was trying to keep everyone straight!

Great to see you!!!!! I am so glad you came to post and are now officially caught up with the rest of us. Sorry to hear you guys don't feel well Doc , but like you said--Better now than later. I kinda felt icky today too.

You guys are soooooo welcome for the planning. I just hope it doesn't all fall apart and I am the first person you come to. "Tara, if you would not have planned this we wouldn't all HATE each other!!!" LOL

If the meets and things go sounth....just keep it to yourself! Just Kidding.

Back to the real world tomorrow . At least I have a conference to go to and no kiddos. I can tell I will be short fused for the next few weeks. I just can't get over being able to finally say "NEXT WEEK I am going to leave for Disney! Who cares if it is the END of next week.

I know what you guys need is another meet...but let's think about meeting for lunch or breakfast one day, especially if we don't see each other at dinner if the linking doesn't go right.

I am thinking that we should change the 3:00 meet place to the Promedade Lounge on Deck3 if everyone is okay with it. I was also thinking 2:45ish for those who would like to spend a little more time chatting before the 4:00 drill. There are chairs, a bar, places to run etc... Plus the Deck 10 location looked a little hard to navigate. ( I was just going by what I read....) What if you were on the wrong side and missed us totally!!! That would be a total shame! What if your kid jumped ship because they were looking over the rail and you were talking to me!!! That would really be a shame!

So what do you think? YES or NO or I DON"T CARE

Don't care about location for the meet. Whatever works for everyone is fine with me! I just want to make sure I make the buffet (or DH will have my head on a platter -it's what he's looking forward to most!) and the sail away (we're dancers here afterall- we have to shake our groove thing!) Oh and the kids family time in the club- I can't miss that! I have to get DD3 introduced to the program so she'll stay in with DD6- Mommy needs a vacation too! As long as I get those things in, I can meet anywhere, anytime that day.

Hey, I just turned on "Cruise Dos and Don'ts" on the Travel channel. DCL is on alot! Makes it even more exciting to see it and know we're almost there!!!!! Oh there's the Mickey pool!!!! It's killing me!! And the Ariel TV! Should I just stay on here and keep listing the things as they come? It's just so exciting, I can't help it! Oh and Mickey's Mates......! OK goodbye now.

For some reason, my DH wanted to do this last trip we went on. We travel a lot and and have had delayed luggage....he just was feeling a bit insecure I guess. It just disoriented me a bit. So, I just put everything out for him and then he packed it. Kind of a pain when the 12 year olds started flinging things out of their duffles to unpack...."Hey, that's my sundress, give it here!" "No that's not your pink underwear."

I won't pack until the night before. To be fair, I've been pulling all non-clothing items together for a while. I try really hard to travel light if I can. If I could do this trip with only carry on luggage, I would. But I gotta bring the wine don't cha know! OK, I guess the snorkel gear can fit in too since I'm checking bags.

Bret and I discussed the packing today! It was a nightmare! We have to live two days out of the suitcases before the cruise and we are trying to do it without unpacking the big ones.

I hate to wear the same thing twice especially when there are so many pictures involved. I can hear it now...DIdn't you wear that on Monday? No, that was Navy pants this is black pants!

One thing we do on our trips is take a seperate "travel bag". A smaller bag that we can use for our clothes en route to our final destination. Or you can use the bigger bags and pack the stuff you need for the first couple of days on top. I wouldn't worry one bit about duplicate clothes. Honestly, you'll be talking about the event you were at or how much fun you were having that day and not your outfit.
