FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

Oh, yeah. Pick whatever meet time is best for everyone else. We should be fine with anything. If you see a family of 5 wandering around, looking lost, grab 'em- its probably us! :lmao:
J

DocandFamily:welcome: party: Welcome! and good to hear from you. It is a bit overwhelming when you first board the ship but you'll get your "sea legs" soon. :) It is gonna be a great cruise:thumbsup2

Nothing here yet:sad2: Do they send them out in order of category? It seems our luckier travelers have gotten them first:confused3  Maybe tomorrow?

Just received travel documents...Did not book Palo, but sort of wish I booked a brunch now- Thanks,
Janet

YEAH!!!!! You can still book a brunch. You just need to go to wavebands(right?) when we first get there to book one. I think they put a limited number online but they always open up a few more...or at least a waiting list.

Our travel agent said she was getting ours today and going to send them out to us right after she looked at them! So ours might be on the way!

10 Days!!!!

Thats my luck!!! Cat11 here. I won't get mine till Friday at 3:30 and we leave at 5:00!:guilty:

When I got home today I noticed my cat had knocked over the gerbil cage. And yes...the poor thing got out!:scared1:

Luckily the gerbil and the cat survived the ordeal. :dance3:

The gerbil has a bloody eye but seems to be okay. She is eating, running around, making a little gerbil home. She even ate sunflower seeds out of my hand like normal. I washed her little eye and it looks okay. It might not be able to see...but she seems in good spirits.:teeth:

Please pray that the poor thing makes it. It is my class pet. I will have 20 four year olds in tears:scared:, and Carsyn is not much happier!

Tara

Okay...it looks like most are in agreement :thumbsup2 or don't care either way! LOL

We will have the 3:00 meet in the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3. It has chairs and a safe place (no water) for the kids, and there is a bathroom right across from it.

I will prob plan on being there at 2:45 and I will make a sign:disrocks: so you guys can find me!!! We will have a quickie meet:grouphug: (I didn't want to plan anything too long and drawn out...if we all have to leave at 3:45 it will give you an excuse to sneak away early if you are not having fun.:sad1: That way you don't feel obligated to stay for a long meet) and then go to the boat drill at 4:00 and then off to the Sail-away party:beach: at 4:15ish. Those who want to make plans to get together later at the party can do so. ((I want to!!!! :cool1: Somebody ask me to come party with them!)) Maybe someone will know the perfect place to stand so you can hear the horn and see all the fun!

I saw that!!! We will be long gone! It would be nice to see though. I have heard of cruises where they see it from the sail away.

That is Thursday right? We will be there!!! We have been trying to decide weather to stay at port canaveral that night. You guys just made up my mind!!

YES!!

Hi all,
Think we're sticking around for the shuttle. Saw a night time launch last year and it was awesome. Said if we were lucky enough to be there for a day launch, we'd hang around for it. We're headed for the parks for 3 days after that but the kids don't know about it. They're excited about the launch but they don't know what's waiting for them. Kind of feeling like I want to go straight to MK- I'm flip-floppin about everything these days!

What time is everyone getting to the port? We have to make a reservation for Sat. night. Want to stay somewhere close to get there early to start soaking in the atmospehere. Plan on parking and paying at the port. Anybody know of any hotels?

Thanks, Janet

No docs here yet :sad1: But I did get my fish extender that I ordered on ebay today!

Gotta go start getting organized now.....

Hi Janet,

Darn, I wish we could see that launch. Our flight is at 3:30. If I can figure out a way to swing it we'll stay, but that could cost too much in flight change fees.

We are flying in on Saturday night. Staying at WDW. Renting a car at the airport and driving to the port in the am. We'll probably get in by 12:30. We've stayed at the Cape Canaveral Radisson once. It was clean and convenient. My in-laws stayed at a local Holiday Inn Express and said the same thing.

Oh, that would be so cool! we will be at WDW at that time...maybe will get to see it next time!:)

I am not positive about this, but you may actually be able to see the launch from WDW. When we used to live in West Palm Beach, we could see the launch right from our house. and that was about 2-3 hours away from Cape Canaveral. We have also been able to see it just driving on the turnpike. So just look into the sky around that time, you may be pleasantly surprised.

BTW, I am Jen and we are also sailing on Feb 3. It will be me, DH, DD(8) and DS(4). we are sailing with close friends of ours. It is a much needed family vacation. I have been lurking for a while, Just a little shy to post.

We are staying at POFQ the night before. The towncar is coming to pick us up at 10:00 so we should be there by 11:30 I guess. Do I need to have my sign out at the Port too....just in case!
