FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

I like to have a few glasses of wine before we go out sometimes.....so I thought it would be cheaper to bring. I don't want to spend $50 a day on alcohol for me and DH. I will work on it.

Keep those room numbers coming!!!!

Tara

That is a good idea (glass of wine can be expensive on the ship) and there are few stores/walmart not far from port where you can purchase some. I would just bring it in my carry on bag:cool2:

I would call Disney today and ask for sure if you need a passport. [snip] If you can not call Disney....let us know and one of us would love to call for you!

Thanks for the offer. I sent them an email about it. If I don't get an email back by Tuesday, then I'll try calling.

And thanks for the "official" info too. My worry now is that the guy at the counter won't know this stuff, and we'll all spend an hour arguing with him about it. Maybe we should all print a copy of this stuff as back up.

Maybe we could all pitch in a bottle of this, and a bottle of that, and set up our own traveling mini bar in our rooms. Then each night, or when ever, we can meet up in a different room, and get the ball rolling. That way we don't have to feel like a buch of seperate alcoholics, drinking alone. We can feel like it together!:drinking1

{My appologies to any recovering alcoholics. No offence is intended:guilty: }

I just came back from Michael's craft store and bought a few mats to drop off at guest services for the characters to sign (also doing a pillow case to bring back for DS). I did this one other time and they came out great!:thumbsup2

I'm IN!!!!
We plan on going to downtown disney and buying a few bottles of fairy tale curvee ($46 on ship) cheaper at Mickey's Pantry.
Bret is bringing Makers Mark and I am going to bring absolute. Maybe some beer.

Tara

I kinda remember that because I was so mad that we wasted $300 for passports.

I remember for that same reason. It struck a cord when I heard about it cuz we just bought 4. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go on lots more cruises to justify that unnecessary expense. (hee, hee, hee, always looking for an excuse! ;) )

I finally put away my sewing machine!!! I made Carsyn 5 pair of pants 2 dresses and our fish extender. I also hemed up my pirate costume.

Who is dressing up for the Pirate night on the cruise? We are....since we have costumes for P&PP we thought we should also dress for the cruise. Why not!

The hospital stay has caught up with me. I am sooooooo tired. My parents are coming up tomorrow because Jade is not released to go back to school until Wednesday. Plus my parents did not get to see her when she was in the hospital and Brets did. My parents live 2 hours away in Lake Charles.

My countdown says 20 days!!!! We leave after school on Friday. I can not wait to surprise Carsyn with her BBB and seeing the castle. We have told her we are not going to MK and won't get to see the castle. I will be so mad if she just goes along with everything like we were always going.

That is so awesome that you can sew all those things:thumbsup2 I wish I could do that but I can even cut a straight line:confused3

I bet Carsyn is gonna be so excited to go to MK & see the Castle:cloud9: What a fun surprise!!

We will be in Palo for dinner on Pirate night so probably not dress up but we will go down to our scheduled restaurant and pick up our pirate: bandanas.

Sounds good. Okay, I'll have some beer (my moto is, "If you can see through your beer, it aint worth drinkin"), a bottle of Bailey's (DW likes it in her coffee), and a bottle of Scotch. DW also likes wine coolers and Mike's Hard Lemonade, and the such. Maybe some Vodka for mixing too. :drinking:

Any one else?

I am, for sure! pirate: We'll see about DW & DS. I plan to bring stuff for them to wear in case they agree at the last minute.

Just to clearify though; wearing the free bandana, and an eye patch does NOT count as "dressing up" :sad2: At least 50% of your clothing has to be piratical to qualify.

Although we had a little service in the church I was baptised in back in Indiana, DW and I honeymooned at WDW. We sayed at the Swan, it was soon after they first opened, back in '90.

This was the start of DW's obsesion with all things Disney.:earboy2:

Not that I especially doubt Steph, but this isn't one of those things I can afford to be wrong on.

Can anyone else confirm this?

I may have finally answered my own question. Below is the entire text of an email I received from Disney Cruise Lines:

You and Bret are going to get along just fine!!!! I told him what you said and he just shook his head and smiled. His favorite is Hefeweizen with a close second of Guiness Dark.

OMG- this is sooo funny. Last night I was on the Disney Wedding site to price out vow renewals and of course, I was looking at the wedding packages- I mean DD is 6 now......:lmao: Well, actually I'm glad I did because it'll take me that long to save up!!!!! Just the basic ceremony in MK was starting at $25,000 and then there were add-ons. And that didn't even include a reception or food ) actually it might have included a cake. Plus, you have to have a minimum amount of hotel night reserved. Plus, to have the mouse himself in attendance for a whole whoppin' 30 minutes it was $1000. DH said NO WAY! I say yeah- we'll see in about 20 years who wins

Ed and I had a mickey & minnie wedding here. We had a super elegant wedding, but all of the "little" touches were mickey. And of course that began our love affair with DCL!
