FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

We have seen pics of the ceremony and my girls are excited about it. Jenna will definately not be shy so maybe if they all go together it will be okay.

We might just flood the room. Emily (10) just laughs at me now. I cried when they played "God Bless the USA" at our Veterans Day program this year. All the kids in her class pointed it out to her and her response was "Yeah, That's my mom."

Rose

BTW, are you guys posting names on doors? It looks like it. I thought about it, but worried about safety. Was trying to think of a way to make sure you guys knew who we were without using first names.

I'm a big sap. I get teary during the National Anthem, watching video of DS's school play, or Spock's funeral at the end of the second Star Trek movie.

Okay, Now you guys have me all stressed out! :scared1: I've been putting our names on things thinking they would be less likely to be stolen. If someone really wanted to learn my kids' names they could just follow us around for a few minutes, I would probably say it 1000 times. Also, my kids are young enough that they would never be alone in the room or anywhere else on the ship. Maybe I'm being naive, but the kids love "their" signs so I think I am going to put them up unless you know a good reason not to:confused3

Carsyn already loves her signs! She know exactly who's goes where. I would hate to take that from her.

All I can say is sad sad sad........:rotfl:crying at Spock's funeral...don't you know he would want you to be stong for him! LOL

I had a hard enough time coming up with a name for me (I know...hard time tara marie...isn't that your name! DUH) Much less for thing one and thing two! LOL

I am going to put our names. If anyone is bold enough to take her....they will bring her running right back offering to pay me the ransom!!!!

Carsyn is in 2nd grade a thte school I work at. YOu know preschool teachers they are all on the ground playing games and being real fake I mean "loving" to the kids. She alwyas walks by and looks the other way. like "what is she up to today"

I guess one way to always know is print one of these signs alike to put up. The Krewe de la Wonder one or I'm with the Krewe. We did I'm with the Krewe fo ours.

I apologize for being an alarmist. Absolutly each of us knows our own kids best, and how best to care for them. I didn't want to cause a panic. I just wanted to make sure everyone was taking a moment to consider rather than going on ahead with plans blindly.

The last thing I want to do is be the cloud to everyones silver lining.

:lmao: Ditto to my two DDs (and by that I mean ding dongs!) No, just kidding, fo course they are sweet, little princess:.

Seriously though, I considered the potential problems too disneyphan. But DH and I agreed that unless my kids are in the club, they'll always be with us. And the stuff they do in the club is sooo fun too that I spent most of my time there taking pictures anyway

The club was really secure, I remember having to wait in line to get her out so I'm not worried about them being away from me there. I could see maybe if they were a little older and I was giving them more onboard freedom. Funny thing though, DD6 "informed" me that "I AM getting my own room card, right mom!?" I think she remembers seeing the teens and tweens running around by themselves before and has "soap opera aged" herself!

has "soap opera aged" herself!

That is great!!!! Carsyn things she is 25 years old now. I can't wait for when she is a teen ager!

I apologize for being an alarmist.

Did you not stop to think that we are a bunch of mostly women who care and love for our family deeply!!!! LOL:rotfl: Now that that is said....I think you not an alarmist.....you were just looking out for us. (right????)

Tara

I am back home (yeah!) and now I can start printing out some of my magnets and door signs.

Tara- Your signs look great!:)

Ladies, as DW can attest, it would be uncommon at best for me to stop and consider anything I do, or say, or write, or think, or... Although T.M. was obviously poking fun at me (I hope), I of course know you all love your families. Again, I sincearly appologize, for causing a stir, and casting any shadow of doubt on anyones parenting skills :guilty: . As T.M. said, I was just looking out for you (by poking my nose where it don't belong while at it).

Please forgive me, :worship: and try to forget I ever said anything :headache: .

In fact, if you look at the original post, I made the bad words go away.pixiedust:

Okay, let's let him off the hook. Poor guy feels terrible over something that is completely not a big deal. :grouphug: It is one of the dangers of typing a message, the tone of voice and facial expressions are missed. Let's all celebrate the countdown:banana:

Looks like princessdaisy and I had the same idea at the same time! Great
minds right?:lmao:

He is prob happy to have all this attention from women! Even though he is married....he has been gone a long time! LOL Just kidding.

I think we will  you anyway! Thanks for looking out for us.

Tara

Okay, who is starting to pack? I am unsure what to bring since the weather in Fl. seems to be going cold/warm:confused3

Well I procrastinated about booking our WDW accommodations and now there's nothing in between $180 and $350 per night for an on-site MK resort.

Guess we're staying off-site...

I am not packing in the actual suitcase yet....but I have things put into piles in the bottom of closets and on hangers in the hall closet!

I have been buying clothes off and on all summer, heck all year!!! I have found that I have 3 Disney dresses that I bought from disneyshopping and tonight I bought **close your ears boys** a little sexy dress for Palo! LOL

Carsyn also picked out this shirt at Target and came running too me saying it had Mickey Heads on it! It did.....it was actually a dot pattern that was in threes. Of course I bought it!!!!!

What are you girls wearing to dinner at night? Are you then going to change for club attire or just wear that?

I just can not believe how excited I am about this trip!!!! I really am thankful for having you guys to share it with. Thanks!

Tara

Sorry, I guess I opened the original "can of worms". I do tend to get a bit irrrational sometimes. I am not putting the kids names on our door. Only "The Folse's" and possibly-DD11, DS10, and DD7 to let anyone on disboards figure out who we are. The paranoia gets me evey time.

I have officially started packing--In the BIG suitcase. I guess as we get closer and the ten day forcast comes out I will have to repack; I just couldn't help myself. I hope I can takke out the sweaters:cool1: !

I know we had discussed maybe getting together to get the photopass CD for the ones of us going to Pirate and Princess Party. Who would be interested? I would not be willing to spend $125 as we would probably only have a few pics, but if we can get 5 of us together that would be cool. Does the terminal have wireless? If so maybe we could check the pics there and decide who's in.

I hear ya! I thought begining of Feb. would be a "slow" time at WDW...boy, was I wrong! I snagged the last available room at MCO Hyatt for Sat. since we are coming all the way from Cali & it will be late and in WDW I was lucky to get one of the last standard room at BC at a decent rate (I has a discount attached to my name or something along that line a CM told me). Anyway, this was a few months ago that I booked these:eek:
