FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

I got my printing back today!!!! It looks awesome! 20x better than my home printer would have done. They are not splotchy or liney.....perfect!

They have started putting our Mardi Gras decorations around town and we bought tons! There will be no doubt where we are from.

I can not believe that we are 1 month out! It is all down hill from here.

I am starting a "diet" tomorrow. I am eating LIGHT breakfast and lunch and regular dinner. When school starts again I will eat even less. I am hoping to just lose about 5 pounds....cause I am sure I will gain that much in a week! WOW! Then at least I will be no worse off.

Still hoping for the upgrade fairy....but I have decided not to stress over it! I would be happy sleepting next to the broiler at this point!

Tara, I plan on walking around the ship in the mornings (except on Castaway Cay day! LOL) to keep the "cruise weight" off...you can join me, if you like.

Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve...Happy New Year!!:dance3:

Thanks!

This was our door last year (same date, different ship)!

Looks great!

Who's birthday was it?

We have our stuff all together for the door now. I went out and bought my Mardi Gras stuff and got our other signs all done too.

I am getting sooooooo excited.

I spoke to disney today about linking our dinner reservations. Those of us who are main seating and those who are 2nd can be sat near each other. Not necessarily at the same table...but by each other. COOL!

I would love to do this. If you are main and want to link I will need your reservation number to do this. You can PM me or email me your number. I guess we should set a deadline...so let's say Sunday night. I will call Monday morning.

Tara

For those interested in paying for an upgrade at port there seems to still be quite alot of rooms availble on the ship:thumbsup2 out of curiousity, I went over and checked DCL website.

My family had a chance to upgrade on our last cruise from a Cat 9 to 6 for 500.00 but that was on a 7 day cruise...we decided to just keep the Cat 9 at the time.:upsidedow

I was looking at past Navigators and they offer great deals at the spa during the cruise! I am looking at the Ladies Night Special $109 and you get like 4 services and chocolate and champagne!!!! Count me in! For the guys there is a morning for haircut, head massage, and something else for $89.

I have a Castaway Cay cabana massage booked....but I might look into the Ladies night one more.

I signed up DW for a cabana massage too. It's a suprise . But that Ladies Night does sound good. I'll have to look into swiching up when I get on board.

I can get a a haircut, and a head massage, here in Iraq for $3 plus tip. If I'm going to pay an additional $85 to get "something else", I can not, in mixed company, speculate about what that "something else" would have to be.

LOL :rotfl: LOL :rotfl: LOL

I just couldn't remember what the something else was! It started with an F...somekind of oil I think.

That was great!!!!!

I just canceled mine Cabana Massage. I thought the 4 for 1 sounded better...now I just have to remember to go and sign up when we get on the boat! LOL

oh, that sounds great! I will have to look into that on the cruise too! is it a massage, champagne, chocolate?? sign me up!! LOL:goodvibes

 It was a massage, aromatherapy, sauna, and a facial I think. I cancelled my Castaway Cay and I am going to try for this. They offer it two nights that we are there I think. THey might offer it more....but I saw it advertised twice.

Hi Everyone,

We just booked a spot on the Feb. 3rd Wonder a week ago! I'll be traveling with my DS(12), leaving DH, and our other 2 DS's behind. :sad1: We'll miss them, but I offer the boys a trip alone with Mom every year or so and youngest chose the Disney cruise. No influence from Mom whatsoever. ;)

We'll be flying into Orlando on Saturday and staying at WDW. Our flight comes in too late for P&PP. Maybe if we can get on an earlier standby flight....

I haven't booked an excursions or spa visits yet. I'm just glad to be on the ship at this late date.

This is our 5th Disney cruise. 1st time on the Wonder though. Can't wait!

Juli

:welcome: Juli! how fun to book a trip with your son..it's gonna be a fun cruise:beach:

Please check out Tara's webpage that she created for our cruise:thumbsup2 lots of fun stuff planned for our cruise.:)

Hi all, Happy New Year!

Just reading the latest posts here and when I read the first post saying room numbers were assigned, I about blew out my DH's eardrum yelling "go get the reservation #." :lmao: We'd been checking the room assignments every few days with no luck so I was totally shocked and excited to see it was time!

Good news and bad/maybe good (I don't know). We went from a GTY 12 to a 10 so that is an upgrade- BUT we are on deck 1- YIKES!?! I don't really care, but DH is not too happy. "It'll be so loud" he says. We've always been on the higher decks so I don't really know. I asked him if would he rather sleep on deck 1 or here at home- just be happy we are going to be sleeping SOMEWHERE on the boat in 1 month!

Honestly, I think he is more upset that they put us in a room that is not only next to my parents, but has a connecting door to them! :rotfl2: We had to link our ressies to them for dinner purposes, but (don't get me wrong, we love my parents and invited them to come with) it's just that my mom tends to be a "LITTLE" overbearing. (She gave birth to me, who gave birth to my two DDs which somehow makes them her children too :rotfl: or at least that's what she thinks when she is telling me how to mother them!:confused3 It drives my DH crazy!) We knew that they'd probably be in a room near ours, but the connecting doors are kinda funny! I told him to look at is as a way for DDs to go over to Nana and Papa's bright and early so we can sleep in! That's what I'm talking about!!!

Well, thanks for listening to my story. Sorry, I tend to ramble!

As for the poll,
P&P- no, not sure if we're going yet
deck meet- yes
magnet- every night, everyone (if I get a participating room count)
tink- probably not, but that may change
Wine- maybe
Beer-maybe
*Tastings depend on what else is taking place at that time. We would love to do them, but for some reason I think last time they happened during something else we wanted to do more (Tea with Wendy or something with the kids)

ONE MONTH from today team! Hooray!!!!:cheer2:

WOW! Welcome to the board! Check out our Krewe webpage at www.travisfamily4.net/cruise.htm and let me know what you want to participate in. If you want dining linked you can PM me your reservation numbers and I will add you to the list. Also I can add you to the magnet exchange, meet list, or Dirty Tink for adult or child or both.

I hope you can get an earlier flight!!!! We have alot of us going to P&PP too.

ONE MONTH from today team! Hooray!!!!:cheer2:

The beer tasting times have been at 2:15 or 2:30. On Nassau Day and At sea day. The Martini tastings are at 5:30ish on same days. The Stem to Stern Wine is at 3ish on the sea day.

The week before we leave I will make a mini graph of everyones official room number and dining rotation stuff.

If you guys are Main send me your ressie number by sunday night so I can call monday to have them linked (not at same table...but near each other in restaurant).

Can't wait for all this to be here!!!! I am sooooooooooo excited. I have started dreaming about the cruise and things that could happen. Then most nights I can't sleep for thinking about what I still need to do.
