Hi all...
Mom, me and DD(5) headed North for DD and My annual trip to Disney. Mom has only stayed on property once at CSR. Dad passed away in October and this is her first solo vacation.
We left Monday AM about 6:30am with heavy fog covering South Florida. We arrived at the WL at about 9:00am. I headed in and asked if there was a room off the lobby that faced the center courtyard. I had a standard room rate, but got upgraded no problem. I was offered Conceige for $50 pn more, but nixed that idea. Was assigned Room #4067...Great room...almost perfect view...one tree blocked a full view of Bay Lake, but I could see the Silver Creek and kiddie pool.
We headed to MK. It was a bit busy, even mom commented that there was alot of Teens ( dancers ). She asked me what happened to the "NO crowds in February". But we only waited 30 minutes at most for Pooh.
Headed back to the room about 4pm to clean up and get ready for dinner at 1900 Parke Faire. Mom has never been to a character meal. Food..>AWESOME!!! DD got to meet Peter Pan and Cindy's mice..Cindy never made it over to our table by the time we were done. No biggy, I knew we had the Royal Table breakfast on Thursday and we can always see Cindy in MTT!
After dinner, we rode the monorail to CR and picked up the boat to WL.
9pm was the DIS meet by the fireplace. Met Kathy ( Valentine ) her mom, GaryM and Lana. Kathy brought some desserts down from Conceige and took me up there...WOW!!! Nice!!!
We retired to our room, and I sat on the balcony and relaxed getting ready for the next morning and breakfast at WCC!
