I agree midship is best for less motion and the lower the deck the better.
I don't want to jinx myself but so far I have been seasick
Has anyone ever been in rough seas on a cruise?
We have been, only twice on an Eastern Itenary. Never on a 3 day to Nassau, usually those have been the most calm seas.
On a Easten Disney cruise with our oldest daughter and her family we hit 35 foot waves and 65 MPH crosswinds for 2 days. I really felt badly for everyone on board because the dining rooms and kids clubs were empty accept for us and our family.
My son in law got sick but he also got free dramamine from the medical center and did feel better after a few hours. Now he takes meds before he gets on board just in case.
We had extra fun though. We went to hear a live band one evening and we were the only ones in there.
The band leader said he was glad we got our invitation to a private concert. Now that we had arrived they could start the show.
He almost fell off the stage twice while dancing around
As we left the club one other couple entered.
They had late night snack outside the club and nobody had been there for any of them, so they encouraged us to take all we wanted.
There were a few people sitting in the atrium area because they knew it was calmer there. A few were asleep.
They tell you if you're worried about getting sea sick to take your meds up to 2 days before you cruise so it will be in your system already. Be sure and get non drowsey or you'll sleep your cruise away!!
