Feb 28, 2010 - 4 night Wonder Cruise

Pooh Jen- Maybe you could call them to see if they can at least put your rooms together. We ended up with an 11 also. I guess the beauty of this being my families first Disney cruise is that we don't know what we are missing in a higher cat room.

atm55- Did you decide that you don't want the HA room after all? The web site seems to change daily. Some days I would check and there wouldn't be hardly anything available and other days there were rooms in every cat. My guess is that there will be rooms that open up right after final payment too.

I've noticed today too that inside rooms are available - yesterday it was only verandas. Anyway, I'm going to keep the HA unless I can get a deal on an upgrade, but I doubt it. I like the fact that it's on deck 7.

Interesting. When I went on DCL's site today, I couldn't get it to show the 2/28 sailing as being available AT ALL. I went to another travel agent site out of curiousity (VacationsToGo) and they showed our sailing as SOLD OUT too!

I just wanted to let us know we received our cruise docs today! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hi everyone!

3 days ago my husband decided that he really wanted us to go on a Disney Cruise..and it needed to be in February. Soo you can imagine what the past 3 days has been like! We almost did not get this cruise and had several moments where it showed sold out. My friend who is a WDW travel agent must have done something right because we were able to get one of the last Cat 6s available. :lovestruc

My husband has been 6 "cruises" but of a different kind. He is a Navy Pilot and goes out on a big gray ship where the food is not very good, it reeks of jet fuel, and there is very little entertainment. :lmao: I was surprised when he said he wanted to go on a cruise.. you would think he would have his fill of being out on the ocean.

We would like to participate in the Fish Extender if it is not too late!
I did read all 21 pages of this thread (plus about 1000 other message boards) but at this point I cant keep anyone straight and my eyes have glazed over with all things Disney related. :goodvibes

What info do you need from me for the FE?
I am Corey, 38
My husband is Chris, 38
and our daughter is Addison and she is 5.

I do not know our room number yet. Just that it is a Cat 6 if that tells you anything.

A few questions for you all..
Where can I buy a FE? since I am not crafty at all. Do I have enough time to purchase one? 6 weeks seems like enough time to me but from some of the responses here I am not sure if I should start stressing about only having 6 weeks left.

Where can I buy a pillow case that has something embrodered on it? Would it be possible to get one that has Pluto on it? My daughter loves loves LOVES Pluto. ( And is Pluto on the ship?) Is 6 weeks enough time for this as well?

Is there a rule book for the FE or maybe a faq section? I hate to bombard you all with a ton of questions if it is all listed somewhere.

What will the weather be like? All shorts and tees or do I need a light jacket? We are currently in Omaha. NE under 3 feet of snow so it is hard for me to think of how to dress for a cruise to the Bahamas:cutie:

Thanks so much for any advice and replies!

Hi Corey,

:welcome: to our thread. I can help you with the FE exchange info - I would be glad to add you to our exchange - please send me an email to dthogue5@verizon.net so I can send you the list of other particiapants.

The only other thing I will need from you is your cabin number once its assigned.

If you search the main DCL forum you can find additonal information on how to make a FE or where to buy one. I think if you order one off ebay, 6 weeks is plenty of time - just remember you can use just about anything to hang your fish to collect your gifts - a gift bag with handles works just as well.

We really don't have any rules relating to the exchange - you can decide which day to hand out your gifts and who/what to give - one gift per cabin or a gift to each person - one gift or more - its completely up to you. Some people make gifts, others give gifts that represent the area you are from, others do cruise related items, or disney theme items - what you is totally up to you - there is no right or wrong :)

If you have any other questions, plase include them in your email.

Tammy

TISNF! You Canadian's have all the luck!:rotfl: I can't wait to get mine:banana: Were getting close!

Hi Gary.. nice to meet you! And everyone else as well.

Chris would be thrilled to have someone to talk to that likes Naval Aviation.:thumbsup2

Ok so for the life of me I can not find threads about the FE and where to buy them. I did find lots of other useful info when I searched but nothing on the FEs.
I searched Ebay but only found 3 or 4. Surely there are more than that?

Corey,
My husband is in the Marine Corps--been in for 11 years. We should meet up so the guys can meet and exchange "war" stories.
Anne

Ok, scratch my request for help on the FEs. I finally found a plethora of posts about it and a great Ebay seller :thumbsup2

Anne - that would be great to meet up. I tried to PM you but apparently I need to have 10 posts before I can do so. As soon as I get 10 I will send you a message:goodvibes

Cruise docs should be coming pretty soon for everyone else.:thumbsup2 Mine came yesterday and I am in Florida.

Ok, looks like the ship is sold out - no chance of upgrades at the port, I guess. Are you guys planning a "meet on board"?

Jealous of you all getting docs already.

How long ago did you fill out those forms asking about passport numbers and all that? I just filled mine out this past week. I wonder if when you submit those has any bearing on how soon you get your docs. (I'm in NC.)

Actually, I wonder if they're going to send my docs to my travel agent. Hmmmmmm....
