We have the chance to make a five day trip to WDW in Feb. 2017 around Feb 22. Some crowd calendars read low crowds, others read really busy. I don't know enough about WDW crowds to make a good enough guess as to which is right. I know that President's weekend is earlier in that week, but is there really that much of a lingering crowd?

I think a lot of schools up north have a winter break that week. With that said, there's really no slow/low time anymore. Make your plans and go have a good time!

We've gone the last week of February more than once. Usually, there's a "down week" with nothing going on between the end of the Princess Half Marathon and start of Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival. This year, it's President's Day on Monday with the marathon weekend starting Thursday or Friday the week of the 22nd. I'd prepare for at least moderate crowds and go in remembering a good time can be had on rides, in shows, or just taking in the music/atmosphere.

That is actually President's WEEK! When we lived up north we always had that week off and EVERYONE left town. Either they went skiing or Disney World or the Cruise/Caribbean. We did it once to WDW ..... but at least it's not Mardi Gras week.

but at least it's not Mardi Gras week.

Nope. That would be the week after February 22nd this year (which is when my family chose to go; lucky us). OP -- Sounds like you're looking at the better week, then!
