Hubby and I just booked yesterday. This is our 2nd cruise (we cruised on the Wonder in December). Our last cruise we took the whole family (kids & grandkids) but just us this time and we are so excited! Will head on over to FB to join group. Looking forward to it!!

Hi All:

Just an FYI about getting to the Port of Miami on Febraury 2nd. That is the day of the Miami Marathon and the course runs right pass the entrance to the cruise terminal. I called Disney to ask if this will hinder getting into the port and they told me to call the port directly. So I called the port and was told that the port is always open HOWEVER there will be road closures in the area and heavy traffic. There will be police officers directing traffic into the port area but she said we should accomodate for extra travel time.

We are driving and staying in Miami Saturday night but plan to leave for the port a little earlier than originally planned for our 11 am check in time.

Thank you for sharing this info!!!!! This is very good to know - I've been stuck in traffic for hours before when a marathon is happening!!

We are local from Fort Lauderdale, traffic usually gets bad later. Get there early and you should be ok. They have things to do at the terminal while you wait. Like character meet and greets!!

Our dining rotation was
PTTAP
With the third night being pirate night menu and fifth night being see ya real soon menu. (Those are the same menus no matter what restaurant you're in)
