Feb. 2, 2014 - Western Carribean on the Wonder

It basically said the two cruises are being canceled due to unplanned maintenance that will be performed on the Disney Wonder in January, the ship will be taken out of service for a brief period of time. They offered me a 25% discount to rebook and said they'd "consider" reimbursing flight change fees. Even with the 25% discount I'm still paying wayyyyy more out of pocket for this vacation now due to the flight change fees. It doesn't sound promising that I'll actually see any compensation for those.

BUT I'm trying to stay optimistic and remember that we are extremely lucky to be able to give our DD this experience. It sounds like so many people are being forced to cancel instead of rebook because of the fees they'll be incurring.

I'm still waiting to hear back from DCL while they consider my request regarding the flight change fees. Also, I'm EXTREMELY bummed because I had my dining preferences locked in for the other cruise and now we are wait listed. I'm so worried that late dining will ruin our cruise. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed they'll be able to sprinkle some pixie dust our way and get us into first seating.

Sooo I get it... We are a group of myself, wife mom in law and daughter of 4 as well. I know it will be hard to fully enjoy this new cruise because no matter what comes up now, even if really minor, will feel like the bums rush again. We have a Facebook page....there is a link on this site....come and Jon us, laugh with us and embrace the cockiness of our group, I even think I can help with diner. We are a family of 4 and it sounds like you are 3. We could suggest we are friends meeting on cruise and request a 7-8 seater table. Good news you have early sitting, bad news you get it with MEEEE!!!! Giggle..... Remember, breathe this does not define you, your family, your parenting nor the way this trip is going to be, it is when your kid reaches for your hand in excitement, and in that momment, as brief as it is, magic is real, life is wounderous and you have made the dreams of your child actually come true....cheers and again, welcome aboard

We just rebooked onto the 2/2 cruise, from the cancelled 1/19! Happy to be here!! We are a group of 6 BFFs celebrating our 50th birthdays together! We got the same category rooms that we had on our original cruise, so I'm happy. We're back on and raring for a great time!

What a sweet offer, thank you so much! I heard back from DCL and they are gonna "do their best" to put us in first dining, but I truly appreciate the offer.

We will be on the 2/2 cruise also. It is myself and DH, DS(25) and his DGirl(25). It is her 26th birthday on 2/2 and she wanted to go on the Wonder (my son invited us to tag along and we never say no to a Disney cruise. We live in Florida and they both work for the Mouse )

Ok so I got theatre quality dresses for my little one. There is belle, snow, Cinderella and aurora and one pirate uniformWith accessories swim suites, day wear, sleep wear shoes and odds and ends, it looks like my kid will get the big luggage and daddy is using the little princess slumber party overnight suitcase
