Feb. 2, 2014 - Western Carribean on the Wonder

Hello, all! My husband, daughter and I just booked our first Disney cruise. We will be traveling with my cousin, his wife and two kids. We have cruised with them years ago, but not since having kids, so this will be a new experience for us all and we are both really excited. I read online about fish extenders... is anyone interested in getting a group together to do this?

We got one going, there is a link on this string our wonderful delegate from California has started....welcome to the chat

Hey all am I the only geeky dad out there or are there other hubbies that are way into this cruise....
For example I spent all my free time on night shift looking up tiara and brides made crowns for my little one for dress up night diner...sad I know.
If even am trying to get a white prince Philip cut jacket so I can kind of look lice Prince Charming for my gals...
Please tell me I'm not the only one...and the sad thing it's not a disney thing I'm into, it's creating that magical moment for the fam:thumbsup2

I think that is awesome! Not geeky at all. But I am a little confused. There is not really a dress up night other then the pirate night. There is no formal night on this cruise either. (I know that for sure cuz I called and asked. lol) My husband just leaves all the planning to me. I have made my own itinerary and everything. You are definitely not the only one super excited. hahaha

You are correct about the formal night, but I think there is a semi formal the first or second night coresponding to the golden Mickey night....so just figuring my little is so going to want to wear a princess dress, so what the heck, royal dress up makeover for everyone... Do you think my mother in law would be offended if she was the Evil queen?:rotfl2::rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Hi all. Myself, hubby, 21 yr old son, 11yr old boy, 7 yr old girl, my MIL and her brother are booked for this cruise-our 1st. So excited!

Ccon007 do u want to join our FE? If you have a fb you can join our group on there. The link is in the comments.

Can someone tell me what fe is? I think I get the jist but not sure?? Haven't researched that yet.

Yeah...people.....
Excited to see my little one won't be the only one around that age...
Count us in for the FE if the group doesn't get too big.....
Is anyone else flying/driving in the day before too Miami?

We are flying in the day before-just starting to check out options. Thinking maybe a hotel near FLL with hotel shuttle pick up. SAS transport(I've heard they are good) to port....

Nice to see us Canadians are going to represent ... New Brunswick and us northern ontarians.... Are you by chance Acadian? Some more French blood is never a bad thing;)
We are from Michigan, but our neighbors are Canadian:)

We are flying into Miami itself... There are a couple of hotels we are looking at. Since I am the sole male and organizer of this trip, I am focused on my special ladies (wife, child, and mother in law). Saying that I need down time as well so Miami is that. The hotel needs to have more then one sleeping zone with one being isolated. NEEDS a pool for the little one. A balcony so at night when we are all in, my wife and I can still get a little alone time with our friend mr. Wine bottle. And needs to be walking distance to stuff since we will be flying in by noon the day before.
Thus far we are looking at the Bentley south beach. Mayfield coconut grove. There are a few others like the holiday inn and the suites by the airport too

Where about ( or a boot for us Canadians ) are you in Michigan? Close to Sault Ste. Marie cause we are under 4 to get there and have stent a lot of time in hassal area. Or Sarnia Windsor areas where my wife is from or more central? We always thought Michigan would do better as a Provence instead of a state;):)

We are actually southern MI- in Jackson which is just south of Lansing.

The FE will be fun - so far we're all new to it, so we'll make up our rules as we go. Michelle is generously organizing it - please do join the FB group for more info!!

I know the area, kind of....many many years ago I worked for a camp that a lot of kids and some staff came from the general area which needed facilitation. But mostly I visited, west bloomsville and Farmington hills...I know a bit away, but hay so is north bay and Sudbury, my two residences

Ok this is getting silly. There is enough people with enough posts now that Irishcowboy could have added the link to the main meet up page for feb 2 wonder.....just a thought as I was checking in to see if anyone else had posted to refresh this page

He needs one of us to post the link, them he'll officially post the link. I would share it on the board for him to repost, but I can't share links yet. If you can, please go ahead and put it there :)

So I provided the link and asked kindly for Irishcowboy to include us, but no response no reply and no being added...... One could think that we are out cast or unwanted ;) :confused3 :goodvibes
That's ok we all found ourselves and all we need to do is to make sure one of us reports daily to keep this link fresh and on the first page for others to find it...

On cruise matters so who all is coming in the day before to Miami

My family and I are coming in 3 days before and going to Disney World. We are staying in Miami an extra day when we get back.
