Fear the Walking Dead - anyone?

Their mother knew their fate, and wanted them to have a fighting chance.

This bothered me. I know she has MS but it isnt currently effecting her. I dont see a currently well mother foisting her kids onto strangers. She would have gone with them as long as she was well

Still not warming to the show. I'll stick it out this season, but if I feel this way at the end, i'll stop watching. I still can't connect or root for anyone the show.

I am starting to like it better. I like that they are on a boat and kind of unsure about what to do. I like that Strand is up to something, not sure if he has a secure compound or not, but it will be interesting to see what happens. Still don't LOVE any of the characters.

Did anyone else notice what looked like a bite on the leg of drug-addict kid? I can't remember his name. It was in the previews.

The show is okay so far. My Dh and I run into the same problems most others are having. We compare it to Rick's gang and the original WD. We try to seperate it and watch it for what it is, but every week we find our selves saying "well, Rick, or Daryl, or whomever, wouldn't do that".

The mom, Madison, just annoys me lately. I thought I was gonna like her, but nope. Not happening.

The father, Travis, seems to be coming around, but really comes across as clueless half the time. Glad he was able to get the guys hand out of there though!

Good to see the kids step up and defend themselves against walkers. They did a good job. Maybe next time they will bring some weapons with them. They know what is out there, why aren't they grabbing a knife from the kitchen or something before heading out to a place that may be dangerous? Just because she watched through binoculars for a bit doesn't mean she can see what is over that hill.

Alicia still annoys me with her teenage angst, but I can see her becoming strong and toughening up. As long as she stops giving out info to guys on the radio!!!

Looks like Nick found out some info. Covered in walker blood, and they can't smell you. DH and I were so happy to see he had on a different shirt and had gotten rid of that jacket, all though he still has the old guy pants on. Of course, he left all the antibiotics sitting on the beach, so now he can't give them to his wanna be girlfriend. Who, by the way, has really not contributed in anyway to this season. Seems to just be taking up space. No, I didn't notice a bit on his leg. Will have to go back and watch that.

Chris seems to be the new Carl. Heck, worse than Carl. Hitting his father, throwing hissy fits, wondering off and almost getting himself and others killed because of it. He can't get bitten soon enough.

Daniel let me down! He didn't keep an eye on the kids and it almost went bad. Bad Daniel. I expected more from you!!

Strand. Oh, dear Strand. I do not like him. Never trusted him. He seems very smarmy and underhanded. Use you to get what he wants to then will throw you away when he is done. I think he is messed up in something illegal, or at least was before the world went to H E double hockey sticks. I don't think that is his boat and the compound in Baja is not his either. I also don't think the place is going to be standing when they get there, if they get there. This past episode though, cutting the rope on that dingy. That was beyond cold. I can understand not wanting a half dead person on the yacht, I even supported and agreed with him when he refused to pick up people in the water. Their space and supplies are limited. I get that, but to cut that rope. That is wrong on so many levels. Someone needs to knock his butt overboard.

I agree--it's a boat full of idiots for the most part. I spend most of each show yelling at the TV telling them not to do this or that. I know this has been said time and again but the series has really been a disappointment in terms of showing the "early days" of the infection. The current season is just a much worse version of the first season of the Walking Dead.

LOL.

I don't see any of these great memes coming from FTWD though.

I'm trying really hard to stick it out but we just can't find the point in these episodes. Last week, they brought in the family at the house and introduced all those characters only to leave them all behind. Good back story if they ended up bringing the kids, but kind of pointless since no one was added to the group.

Then the same thing this week. They ended up with nothing of value from the beach (other than Nick learning that being covered in zombie guts will allow to walk around with them) and brought in the characters from the plane crash only to leave them all behind again. Unless they are planning to take out Steel (possible given the previews) and go back for the people in the raft, it seemed like a wasted episode again :(

Why...oh WHY isn't the very first thing every single one of them does after a bloody encounter is HEAD FOR THE FRIGGIN' SHOWER???? Or at least jump in the water and scrub down. Holy cow. The Zombie Apocalypse isn't nearly far enough along for them to have abandoned basic hygiene drives.

I think common sense went out the window on this side of the country. All the things they were doing were stupid!! The only intelligent person in the episode was the lady in the dingy. She at least was running and getting away from the herd. The others were just waiting around for the herd to reach them.

I kept saying, get to the boat and get out of there. I sincerely think that the writers and producers may have actually tried to make this show a zombie in and of itself.

I feel like they will be at the compound by the end of the season and it is basically TWD 2. This isn't a spin off its the same exact show with lame characters and storylines.

LOVED the last episode. I couldn't believe Strand cut that rope. I see a mutiny in the future.

For those of you not liking the show, why are you still watching?
Cause I watch with my 2 DDs-17. We also watch TWD together and that's the only show all 3 of us watch (and now this show). I had to record GoT to watch at 10pm (after) because only 1 DD and I watch that. I would SO rather just watch GoT. But it's nice time with DDs where they aren't rolling their eyes at me or biting my head off for asking them how school was.

I tapped out after the last episode, but if I need something to watch I might try again. I peeked in here to see if the next episode was worth watching ,lol. I WANT to love it. I just don't.

I still don't know what to make of Strand. On the one hand he has helped them, he could have easily left them behind and he hasn't. Yes, he has said his boat, his rules, but he hasn't seemed to limit what they eat or drink, just doesn't want anyone else on board, which honestly I agree with.

Then on the other hand, he cruelly cuts the rope and seems to have some kind of underhanded goings on with whoever is on the other end of the phone, but still if he's bad, why is he helping them. It's not like these people are geniuses and can help him survive, quite frankly all of them, except maybe for Daniel, are dead weight. Even if the compound in Baja isn't his, he's still taking them, again he could easily left them behind.

I think the main reason I keep watching is to find out whether Strand is good or bad. He sort of reminds me of Sawyer from Lost, wasn't necessarily a bad guy unless it meant him or you and then it was always in his favor, but of course Sawyer got better as the seasons went on lol.

If only he was eye candy like Sawyer!!!! I would force myself to watch until the series finale
